“for the perverse is an abomination to Adonai, but he shares his secret counsel with the upright,” Proverbs 3:32 (CJB).

I love this scripture because, one of the greatest things to me about Holy Spirit is that He shares His secrets with me! God loves to tell His secrets to me because He loves companionship. Just like we love our earthly friends, He also loves His friends and companions and longs for their full attention.

He loves to tell us things that nobody else could possibly know about the glory of His kingdom! Do we not understand yet that He died for this reason, so that you and I would have complete access to His person. He is just waiting for us to make ourselves available in our busy day so that he can share His “secret stuff” with us. Oh, why do we go about our day lonely or seeking some persons attention, when He has such amazing stuff to share with us everyday?

I Want To Hear Your Voice

One time, I had been going over to the church on a daily basis for days on end and spending hours with the Lord and I had learned this about him to some degree from just what He had shown me, but it was a warm sunny day and all of the other people I knew were out on my boat having fun on that Saturday. I suddenly heard the enemy say. “Are you crazy?” I then said to the Lord, “Why is it Lord that you want us to pray and ask when you already know what we have need of? Am I just kidding myself here?” He said to me then, “Because, I just want to hear your voice.”

I suddenly melted into a puddle, to think that the God of the universe wanted to hear my voice.

I am telling you that God so longs to pour His heart out to you, that He just waits for you to make room in your life for Him. He so wants to tell you His secrets and share what is on His heart.

If we truly believed that we would come to Him more often than we do. He loves hearing us say “Oh Papa, Just tell me a secret today! One that will change the world!”

I saw Him like a husband coming home from work, just full of wonderful things that He wanted to tell His wife that day. I saw Him anticipating telling her about his accomplishments and his plans for them and yet when he came home,she wasn’t interested in them because she had another agenda.

I saw His disappointment and lack of fulfillment. I sensed that He said that, this is only a tiny bit of the pain that He feels when we reject His secrets and His hearts desires for us. He died for this reason. To have you as his eternal companion and friend.

Won’t you come and hear His secrets?

“Surely the Lord Jehovah will do nothing, except he reveal his secret unto his servants the prophets,” Amos 3:7 (ASV).

“The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever,” Deuteronomy 29:29.
