I Know Your Labor of Love for Me!
Comforting Words for God’s Real Men…
Have you ever wondered why Jesus said these words to Peter the chief apostle:
“So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, LOVEST thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, LORD; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, LOVE ST thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, LORD; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, LOVEST thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, LORD, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.” John 21:15-17.
When He asked the question to Peter, what was Jesus referring to when He said “lovest thou Me more than THESE..”?
Was He referring to other apostles or the bread and fishes? Remember that Peter had abandoned his ministry to go a fishing. He felt there was no bread and fish doing the LORD’s work and therefore went on his own to look for it.
The LORD knowing this brought out the BREAD AND FISH in ministry and having fed them all, pointed to Peter and asked him. Why did He ask Peter same question three times?
Ministry is all about love for the LORD and His people. It is service to god through mankind. It is possible to be in ministry and not to Love the LORD! It’s possible to preach but not out of Love for the LORD! He wanted Peter to know why He was in ministry. To apostle Paul, love was his compelling force…
Hear the Word of the Lord:
“I know your labour of love for Me,” says the LORD.
“I see your struggle to do all I have asked you to do. I see how you are doing that which I have called you to do not exploiting the Sheep and the Lambs I put in your care.
I know the questions of your heart. Yes, you have asked why these false prophets have it all going for themselves. I know,” says the LORD!
“This is like the time of the gentiles,” says the LORD.
“It is like the time when the Holy City shall be trampled on. It is a time in My Agenda. I have tried you with many trials. I have tried your heart not for me but for you that you may know the hidden things in your heart. I have tried you with LACKS and NEEDS yet you have refused to go in the way of Balam.
I have given you great insight and power, yet you have refused to use them to exploit My people.
Do not envy these prophets whom I have not sent yet they prophesy in My name. This is like the times of the gentiles but the Kingdom shall be given to My FAITHFULS!
I will RAISE unto you men who knows My heart and they shall rise up for you as they spot your faithfulness. I AM raising FINANCIERS for My Faithful servants in whose heart is My love.
I will bring for you BREAD and FISH. Do not go after these things,” says the LORD.
“Make Me your eternal pursuits and see these things come to you!”
