I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day
As I was waiting before The LORD in prayer, I kept seeing a clock and I could only see the number 11 and 12 and heard the words to the song “I heard the Bells on Christmas Day”.
At first, I was a bit perplexed but I realized the hour is late and that 12 is symbolic of divine authority.
He said to me, “Be still and know that I AM God.”
I found myself singing those words to myself as I stilled my thoughts and listened for His mind.
Then The LORD spoke to me, “Listen carefully and know that I AM God. I change not.
Have I not said, in quietness and trust is your strength?
Know this, My Goodness is leading My People to Repentance and just as The Word says “in repentance and rest you will be saved!”
I AM The LORD of all the earth. I AM your rescuer in time of need. Many are finding themselves in a fix they cannot fix because I have allowed the enemy to overplay his hand.
Just as My Word says you will hear of ‘wars and rumors of wars’, see that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but it is not yet the end of the age.
The spirit of division and warring among those coveting to control are vying for the attention and dominion of all the earth as the mocking spirit again sends lies to drown out The Truth.
But know this, says the King of Kings, just as you celebrate My Birth on Christmas day, you shall begin to celebrate the rebirthing and multiplication of Peace on earth in a very tangible way, for I AM shaking and breaking everything that can be shaken.
Yes, the enemy has declared war and come to steal, kill and destroy but I have come to add back what has been stolen.
I say to you, “Calm down and be quiet. The hour is late and it is approaching the midnight hour. Know that your time is in my hands.
Do not be afraid or disheartened for the day of reckoning is at hand and I shall bring peace in the midst of the worldly despair and hope evermore as renewal, reformation, retribution and revival burst forth as rushing waters over the earth to refresh and cleanse the hearts and minds of my people, and you shall sing “
Joy to the WORLD, The LORD has come to the RESCUE,” says The LORD of all the earth.
As I heard the words to the song “I heard the bells on Christmas Day,” and researched the lyrics, this is what I discovered much to my surprise.
This song had its beginnings in a poem!
“I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day” is a Christmas carol based on the poem “Christmas Bells” by American poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. (1863).
The song tells of the narrator’s despair after the untimely death of his wife and upon hearing Christmas bells during the American Civil War, that “hate is strong and mocks the song of peace on earth, good will to men”.
The carol concludes with the bells carrying renewed hope for peace among men. This is an excerpt from a blog by Justin Taylor, December 21, 2014.
“The True Story of Pain and Hope Behind “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day”.
“On Friday, December 25, 1863, Longfellow — as a 57-year-old widowed father of six children, the oldest of which had been nearly paralyzed as his country fought a war against itself—wrote a poem seeking to capture the dynamic and dissonance in his own heart and the world he observes around him that Christmas Day.
He heard the Christmas bells ringing in Cambridge and the singing of “peace on earth” (Luke 2:14), but he observed the world of injustice and violence that seemed to mock the truthfulness of this optimistic outlook. The theme of listening recurs throughout the poem, eventually leading to a settledness of confident hope even in the midst of bleak despair as he recounts to himself that God is alive and righteousness shall prevail.” ©Justin Taylor
The following are the original words of Longfellow’s poem.
“I heard the bells on Christmas Day
Their old, familiar carols play,
and wild and sweet
The words repeat
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!
And thought how, as the day had come,
The belfries of all Christendom
Had rolled along
The unbroken song
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!
Till ringing, singing on its way,
The world revolved from night to day,
A voice, a chime,
A chant sublime
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!
Then from each black, accursed mouth
The cannon thundered in the South,
And with the sound
The carols drowned
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!
It was as if an earthquake rent
The hearth-stones of a continent,
And made forlorn
The households born
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!
And in despair I bowed my head;
“There is no peace on earth,” I said;
“For hate is strong,
And mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!”
Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
“God is not dead, nor doth He sleep;
The Wrong shall fail,The Right prevail,
With peace on earth, good-will to men.”“
I found the account of Luke 2 TPT very descriptive of what I was hearing from The LORD as I pondered the meaning of the poem and the message The LORD has been speaking to me very clearly today.
“That night, in a field[a] near Bethlehem, there were shepherds watching over their flocks. Suddenly, an angel of The LORD appeared in radiant splendor before them, lighting up the field with the blazing glory of God, and the shepherds were terrified! But the angel reassured them, saying, “Don’t be afraid. For I have come to bring you good news, the most joyous news the world has ever heard! And it is for everyone everywhere! For today in Bethlehem a rescuer was born for you. He is The LORD Yahweh, the Messiah. You will recognize him by this miracle sign: You will find a baby wrapped in strips of cloth and lying in a feeding trough!” Then all at once, a vast number of glorious angels appeared, the very armies of heaven! And they all praised God, singing: “Glory to God in the highest realms of heaven! Peace on earth, Good will to men, For there is peace[e] and a good hope[f] given to the sons of men.” Luke 2:8-14.
The latest version of “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day” says it this way.
“Do you hear the bells they’re ringing? (peace on earth)
The life the angels singing (peace on earth)
Open up your heart and hear them (peace on earth)
Peace on earth, good will to men Peace on earth, peace on earth.”
There is much pressure and the stage is set to hear the verdict of the Supreme Court in America to bring the final outcome of fraud and betrayal in America.
It is the real SUPREME Court of HEAVEN that has all the evidence and all the videos and the scales of justice are about to be balanced.
All over the world, The Bells shall ring out.. ”Joy to the World..The LORD has come. Let earth receive her King. He rules the world with truth and grace…”
Yes, beloved, won’t you join me in praising HIM and the wonders of His love. We can relive Christmas every day as we worship HIM in spirit and in truth and give thanks with a grateful heart for the Savior of the World.
