I Choose To Shine!
A Psalm to praise and sing to God, out loud.
I Choose To Shine!
When I wake in the morning
My first thoughts go to You LORD
When I see the sun rise through the trees
My first words give thanks to You LORD
Without You, I would not be here
Now my whole life has turned into a sunrise
Rising brightly full of promise and hope
Your Light surrounds me
Your Son has risen in me
I choose to shine in Your Eternal Light
I choose Your Light to guide me
I choose to fight the Good Fight
I choose Your Victory to carry me
Oh LORD, I choose to shine!
When I walk through the golden field
My hands brush across the heads of grain
When I kneel down to work the yield
My hands rise and to You I pray
Without You this harvest would not be possible
Now the lives You have led me to touch
Will also see and feel Your Light
The sunrise surrounds them
And the Son rises in them as well
I choose to shine in Your Eternal Light
I choose Your Light to guide me
I choose to fight the good fight
I choose Your Victory to carry me
Oh LORD, I choose to shine!
I declare Victory
I declare Life
I shout out in confidence
I am a child of the Most High God!
And I choose to shine!
I choose to shine in Your Eternal Light
I choose Your Light to guide me
I choose to fight the good fight
I choose Your Victory to carry me
Oh LORD, I choose to shine!
Oh LORD the sun has risen this day
And I choose to shine in Your Light
Oh yes, I choose to shine!
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:5.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16.
“But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God,” John 1:12.
“Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ have received a faith as precious as ours: Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge,” 2 Peter 1:1-5.
“Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path. The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.” Matthew 13:18-23.
“Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” 1 Timothy 6:12.
“For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world — our faith.” 1 John 5:4.
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.” James 1:17.
“Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”” Matthew 9:37-38.
“Faithfulness springs up from the ground, and righteousness looks down from the sky. Yes, the Lord will give what is good, and our land will yield its increase. Righteousness will go before him and make his footsteps a way.” Psalm 85:11-13.
