I Am NOT Trying to Figure it Out!
“When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.” Psalm 27:2
I get it — this life and world is not my permanent home. Any defenses built are only temporary. I do not have to make a permanent plan for survival.
If my stomach aches either the pain will go away or I get a new stomach.
As a woman of faith, my thinking cannot be, “Oh what if I might have cancer”. I put more relevance in God’s word than situational woes.
“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;” 2 Corinthians 4:13
I choose to believe in any devastating woe, that God’s perfect intervention will brings His Glory on the scene.
My mind has a will. My heart has a will. My mouth has a will. They can all work together for the glory of God or bring destruction.
“Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.” Philippians 2:3
I am not trying to figure out why there is so much division, confusion, anger, crime, hostility, and dissatisfaction with the life we have.
“Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.” 2 Peter 3:3-7
I am not trying to figure out why people do not love the way God intended.
“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.” John 13:34
I am not trying to figure out why greedy men do horrible things for money and profit.
“Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. But godliness with contentment is great gain.” 1 Timothy 6:5-6
I am not trying to figure out why people refuse salvation.
“For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” Matthew 16:26
“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:8-9
“The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.” Psalm 98:2
I am not trying to figure it all out I am just trying to walk it out.
“But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, and be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; if by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing. Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample. (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.” Philippians 3:7-21

Mary Adger is in ministry for The LORD and runs her own website “In it for Him”, for when God says “BE STILL” He is just trying to get us to that perfect place in His will.
Well said Mary. I appreciate the style I’m which you write…you state the obvious…then insert the Word of God….then finish your thought. The Lord uses you in a unique way – and its a blessing to us all.
Just walk it out! Amen Sister!!!
Bless you dear sister! This is well written/spoken. Good word. Speak the Word only. Praise the name of our Lord and savior. He is faithful. So too we must remain faithful to Him. We are so blessed.
Ye Amen
