Humbleness, Let It Be Threaded Throughout My Soul
A Psalm to praise and sing to God, out loud
Humbleness, Let It Be Threaded Throughout My Soul
Humbleness, let it be threaded throughout my soul
I am dependent on The LORD for everything
As He gave and took from Job, so He can to me
For what is my life? All that surrounds me?
Prosperity, family, reputation, ability
When I came into this world with nothing
And leave this world with nothing?
When it all can be taken away by The LORD?
I am only here by His Grace
And the Life He has placed in me
His Lovingkindness and Testing are my portions
He gives and He takes as easily as the spring grasses grow
And as quickly as they wither in the scorching summer heat
Oh LORD, if this be a test to determine my patience,
Let me persevere
Oh LORD, if this be a test to determine my steadfastness,
Let me stand firm
Oh LORD, if this be a test to determine my faith,
Let me keep my eyes on You
Let me not falter; You are my only hope
What good are the moon, stars and sun
If I remain in the dark and cannot see folly?
For The LORD does as He wants;
He takes His Light where He wishes
He gives His Favor to whom He pleases
For His Ways are higher than ours
And His Thoughts are higher than ours
His Ways are not fickle nor random
Nor are they without purpose
The righhteous and blameless even are at His Mercy
Testing is The LORD’s Way
To admonish, correct and instruct
In testing we do not just merely go through-
But grow in the softening of our hearts and in humility,
But grow in obeisance and in fear and wisdom of our LORD
If The LORD takes everything away from me, what is left?
We are nothing without Him
Dust without breath
Clay without form
Life without hope
If we have all the riches and wisdom in this world, but no love-
We are empty
If we have all the revelation and knowledge in this world, but no love-
We are lost
If we have everything, but love- our lives are utterly meaningless
No, I shall not speak against my LORD
I will accept my portion He gives me
I shall walk knowing I am at His Mercy and Perfect Timing
It is not by my actions things come to me,
Not by envy, ambition, ego, nor of self reliance
Oh LORD, burn those out of me- burn the dross from my soul!
Break down the defenses my heart has rebelliously raised
How easily sin enters hearts and plants itself so deeply
How difficult it is to pull up and cast away!
Even when walking upright and righteously we can fall prey
Come! I will continue to remain obedient and humble
And serve my LORD in The Ways He puts before me
For even if He places me in prison, in chains like Paul,
I shall rejoice in Him still!
The LORD is gracious and loving
He sends testing and purifies every soul willing
He orders my steps to bring me to a higher purpose
And I walk accordingly to His Will
Humbleness, let it be threaded throughout my soul
And I shall surely rejoice in my LORD!

“Let everything that has breath praise The LORD.” Psalm 150:6.
Wonderful, powerful, needful. A truly HOLY SPIRIT-inspires psalm.

SHALOM!
Jacob
Seriously, this applies to me. I woke up 2 hours after I had fallen asleep, and searched myself. I shall not speak against my Lord, I shall accept my portion He gives me, only burn the self reliance, dear Lord. The Lord showed me something he has for me and how to go about it. Then of course I added my own thoughts without consciously realizing that I was adding to God’s word. Humbleness, let it be threaded throughout my soul!
Even when walking upright and righteous we can fall prey!
So true, my dear sister.
I took my correction in the fear and wisdom of the Lord.
Bleassings my dear sister.
