Humble Yourselves Under God’s Mighty Hand
The true love of God shed abroad in our hearts by the real Holy Ghost, comes from tribulation that works patience, and patience that works experience, and experience that brings hope, and hope maketh not ashamed, because finally the true love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost.
A humbling, but needed process called the fire baptism. We are the clay, He is the potter.
As we follow Him, mortifying the flesh nature, through the Spirit, we live. We become all that He has designed us to be, like Him. It is through the obedience to His word as we apply it to our daily lives, that His righteousness is worked within us, transforming us from the inside out into his very image by the Holy Spirit. It is then no longer I but, Christ within me and He doeth the works.
So then it is not our self righteousness, but rather His word coming alive, active and maturing within us, as He doing the works.
One example of the Christ within, is in us loving one another, blessing and cursing not. In our own flesh we could not do this, but as we obey His commands to love one another, then His love, not ours, is perfected within us, again through and by His Spirit that dwells within us.
The flesh nature is automatically in rebellion to God and it always wants to curse and bless not. Both seem to come from the same fountain, but brethren, the Word of God says this should not be so.
Any and all willful disobedience to the Word is rebellion and within all our carnal nature, that is why it must die and we must be born again to the nature of Christ. Any and all rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft. This would include cursing men who are made in and after the similitude of God.
Therefore to keep us on the right track and not to get off in self righteousness, thinking we have obtained perfection in the flesh and everyone else is wasted, which is a holier than thou attitude that brings forth division, rather than unity, within the body of whom we are members.
One and another, we need to remain focused that we need each other, as each member supplieth the other and we have not yet obtained it and won’t without each other.
As we offer ourselves to God in surrendering of our hearts and not our garments, to obey all of His Word as best of our ability and knowledge, and not just parts that would make us look self righteous in works in the natural body,. Yet in our hearts we deny who He really is, by not allowing His full nature to come forth from us.
We must also remember as so stated in 1 Thessalonians 3:12-13 that real holiness is established within the heart.
“And the LORD make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do unto you. To the end that he may establish your heart umblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our LORD Jesus Christ with all his saints.”
For God is love, and love worketh no ill toward his neighbor. Love never fails. It is the fullness of Him that is to fill us all in all.
Although we see that God is redeeming the full man in sanctification and holiness it is vitally important to know and understand that this is to be established within the heart of man. For it is from within that everything else will flow without.
Jesus explained that to be clean on the inside, that the outside may be clean also. In that order, His full nature can come forth from us. That is why Jesus is more concerned with the matters of the heart, for out of it the very issues of our lives flow.
For it is those things from within the heart that proceeds out of the heart of man that defiles the temple. For out of the heart the mouth speaks blessings or cursing. Life and death are in the power of the tongue that does proceed from the heart within. For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.
There should be no mixture there, no pride of the flesh nature, as we are told to have no confidence in it whatsoever. For it is His Spirit within that brings life, speaking within so we will not become just confessors with our mouths, but having our hearts far from him full of uncleanliness and dead men’s bones, but rather one with him and his heart toward people. Then shall our works follow us which are in reality is Him working within us and through us.
It is by our fruits that we shall be known, not by works of self righteousness, that can look great on the outside.
The unveiling of the Christ within us is the goal that He may reach the lost and dying world to also come to Him. The real evidence of Him within us is shown in our love, one toward another, the fruit of His Spirit that we bear.
The inside is where the real fruit is and it is shown through to the outward in all we do and say, how we treat and conduct ourselves concerning our own life and one another. Not as the religious leaders of Jesus’s day, who thought they were holy by there works and in fact thought they were so holy that others could not come near them, because they had that hollier than thou self righteous attitude, that Jesus rebuked and despised.
For this is a smoke up our Father God’s nose, a fire that burneth all the day long, as so stated in the bible. A puffed up spirit of religious pride that thought it was so much better than everyone else.
We are commanded by God to love one another, not pick and chose whom we think is worthy or not. This is in fact a true example of cleaning up the outside with no real evidence or fruit of a change and born again experience.
This is how many have became self righteous in their thinking and or, of no real use to God. For most of these seem to think that it is by their works that they can save and deliver people, taking the real focus off the Christ within and faith in His Name and thus bringing the focus upon themselves.
God gets no glory in this at all as Peter points this out very clearly in scripture. This is where the division, finger pointing, and carnal judging comes in amongst the body of Christ and those who have not reach that maturity of Christ fully, being raised up within them.
We must be aware of this tactic of the enemy, not to let him get a foothold. We are members one of another not the lone ranger Christ, each part is to supply the other part making the increase of the full body of Christ.
This body is to edify one another in love. and this is how we can discern who is of Him and who is not.
Here are a few scriptures to help us to better understand the self righteous spirit and to know that is faith in the name of Jesus and the Christ withinm that doeth the works.
Acts chapter 3 verses 1-16
“Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.
And a certain man from his mothers womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered int o the temple; who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.
And Peter fastening his eyes upon him with John, said Look on us. And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.
Then Peter said, Silver and Gold have I none, but such a Ii have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up; and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praising God: and they knew that it was he that sat for alms at the beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened to him.
And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s greatly wondering.
And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? Or why look so earnestly upon us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?
The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let hi go.
But ye denied the Holy one and the Just, and desired that a murderer be granted unto you; and you killed the prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are all witnesses.
And his name, through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.”
We must remember that we are saved by grace through faith and not of works lest anyone can boast. Jesus is the precious gift given to us by God. His grace is not to be taken lightly, as we decrease from our own works/ labors of righteousness that comes by the workings of the law, in order that His true righteousness that is of faith, can be manifested where he alone gets the glory!
We grow from faith to faith and glory to glory. As it is written the just shall live by faith.
Therefore we are buried with him unto death (carnal sinful nature) by His baptism, and like as Christ was raised up from the dead, by the glory of the Father, we should walk in this newness of life, for if Christ be not risen, then our preaching is in vain and our faith also. Yet it it no longer i or self, but Christ that dwelleth within me, he doeth the works and he alone gets all the glory for them.
I pray that helps many to understand that we are just the clay and He is the one that worketh in us to do his good pleasure and will, and if we do not have his love abiding within us then we are none of his.
For truly this is the true source of all true miracles, and power. We are thus commanded to love one another, bless and curse not, even our enemies, for this is the true fruit or evidence that we are of him and that His Spirit abides within us doing these works, not by our own self righteous works, nor a head full of knowledge that can be puffed up with pride, but rather a heart filled with his Spirit.
So get knowledge yes, but with all thy getting, get understanding of what the will of the LORD truly is. For it is his will that none would perish, but that all would be saved, remembering to apply Ephesians 4:32,
“And be ye kind one toward another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ sake hath forgiven you.”
