Part 1 of a Series of Teachings

 

This morning around 4:00 a.m., while talking with the LORD, I heard Him talking about my series I announced [a series of teachings about how to prepare for the coming terrible times in the world].

The LORD said: The number one step to being prepared for what is going to take place shortly is….. “First Love.”

He went on to say that: without a true and real relationship which is vital for victory over what is coming upon the earth; you cannot stand. Even though you may be a believer [for sure], you cannot stand in the darkness coming.

The LORD then reminded me about the seven churches in the revelation, mentioning Ephesus, pointing out that they had all their ducks in a row but yet He told them:

“Nevertheless, I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love,” Revelation 2:4.

Many today are waking in the Ephesus mindset… They have everything lined up and all the ducks in a row, and the church is well organized and their lives are on the outside looking good, but, inside they are cold when it comes to personal relationship with the LORD himself!

Evidently this is quite a problem, because even Jesus talked about the church of Ephesus having become cold in their relationship with him. It is common to hear of preachers and believers in general, who almost never pray anymore and who really look like the world. There is no real deep relationship with their LORD.

The work daily in what they call ‘the kingdom,’ but never talk to the King. Somehow they have learned how to have church without the LORD’s presence, and…

Somehow they have figured out, all that they themselves must do. Yet, they do never ask the LORD: “What do you want me to do LORD?”

The LORD went on to talk about the 10 virgins of Matthew 25. He said that the five foolish had allowed their lamp lights to go out. They had a deficiency in spiritual relationship to the place that the Holy Spirit was grieved.

When the Holy Spirit becomes grieved to a place, He steps back and is silent and not working. Then we know that their relationship with the LORD, is sorely lacking!

Warning: The LORD said that even as the five foolish could not go out into the night to meet him, so will all those who are foolish enough to let their spiritual oil [the Holy Spirit and a real relationship] go out. Many reading this might just say… “Lord! That is me. I am walking my way, and have no real word from God.”

This morning I heard that where we are going in the dark days ahead, the only way to walk through them, without being hurt or destroyed, is by very close relationship with the LORD.

If all the saved will walk very close with Jesus Christ, they will know perfectly His will and protection. But, when believers walks far from their LORD and do not listen to His voice and loving instructions gained only in relationship, they fall down.

When the scriptures tell us that His sheep hear His voice and follow Him, then we should take that to be very important. Yet there are many today who never hear His voice, nor do they seek to hear Him.

Many think that the scriptures themselves are all the voice and never go beyond the scriptures to try talking with their LORD, but, we know that the scriptures themselves invites all to hear Him talk.

I myself know this first hand, because up until 1999 when I had my God encounter [which changed my whole life]. I had been a preacher and pastor for over 23 years. I myself had never heard the LORD speaking and did not have a first love relationship.

After my God encounter, I really did begin having a personal relationship with the LORD. But the greatest thing was and is……… I now hear Him explaining the Book to me and telling me what and where to go.

I did not have such a vital connection with him before that day. I was like many others who just do the best they can, hoping to please the LORD.

Some may be asking, “What is a first love relationship?” Let me answer it this way: that first love is much deeper and intimate with the LORD than all others, or all other things.

Jesus will be front and center in your affections and life. If you can remember back to the time you first believed and met the LORD, you will remember a first love relationship.

Nothing and nobody meant more to you than the LORD. All you wanted to do was just be near Him and to love Him. But, as you remember, you will most likely remember as well how you did leave off such feelings and your relationship with the LORD became more nominal and traditional.

In other words you cooled off. You did find that you could continue without being so in love. Actually one must face up to the fact: they begin to love the world more than Jesus Christ. They left him, and begin to walk around him, instead of seek Him out as the love of their life.

We can all relate to how many marriages are going by the way side. It is because love died. Yes, people stopped loving people and their relationship did suffer greatly.

Such a relationship can end up on the rocks and will cease. What makes us think that Jesus can’t end up on the rocks of a cold heart?

In the scripture, the Word tells us that the nation of Israel did get to the place with their LORD that he divorced them. Yes, the LORD did not want them as his wife any longer.

In the days ahead, I am hearing one must love Jesus Christ supremely and follow His every Word. That relationship will be your salvation from the old red dragon [the devil]. Many will perish in the tribulation days ahead because they left off their first love, and went and allowed their thinking to be about themselves, the world, etc.

Warning: Seek the LORD with all your heart, in that day you seek him you will find him….. But…. If you will not seek him with “All your heart” expect trouble in the days ahead.

I am hearing in my spirit that there was never a time one did not need a very close and vital connection with Jesus Christ, but…… in the worse times than this world has ever experienced before, which are coming soon. It will not just be recommended…. It will be essential.

In order to walk in the darkness coming one must be walking…. In the light!

“If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth. But, if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and …. The blood of Jesus Christ his son cleanseth us from….. all sin,” 1 John 1:6-7 [scripture notation and modification by Ken Dewey to catch your understanding…].
