How to Pray Effectively Against ISIS
What happened in Paris is a tragedy. There are rumors circulating that ISIS plans to attack Rome in the near future. We must pray that ISIS is stopped, before any more innocent people are hurt.
There are provinces in Algeria, Libya, Egypt, Nigeria, Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Afghanistan, and Pakistan that are loyal to ISIS. Now is the time for the intercessors to rise up and pray.
Using the hashtag #prayforparis or #isisattack is not sufficient (although it does bring awareness). We must be strategic in our prayers.
I’ve listed some prayer points that can assist you all with praying effectively against the evil that is driving ISIS and also for the families of those who have lost their lives. It’s important to also pray against future attacks of ISIS.
Contrary to popular belief, your prayers – not your Instagram reposts, facebook comments or retweets – avail much! Let’s pray!
-
Pray for the Muslims who are involved in ISIS.
This is not the time to demean Muslims, Jesus came to save them as well. Put aside your feeling and hostility and pray for Salvation for these men who created these heinous acts.
“Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing” 1 Peter: 3:9.
-
Pray against the spirit of hate and pride that plagues the members of ISIS.
Hatred is used as mind control, but this power can be broken in the name of Jesus. The spirit of pride and hate are not just predispositions, often times, these are entities. The prayers of the righteous can break their attachment and cause member of ISIS to rethink their actions and prevent future attacks.
“But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power.
Avoid such people. For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions, always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth. Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men corrupted in mind and disqualified regarding the faith. But they will not get very far, for their folly will be plain to all, as was that of those two men,” 2 Timothy 3:1-9.

I will add to this:
pray that the spirit of fear shall leave these people because it is only in a mistrust in God that the spirit of pride and hate can grow.
“There is no fear in (God’s) love, but perfect love casteth out fear,” 1 John 4:18.
