How Do We Handle Correction? (Updated)
Good morning.
Today I feel first to give you a small excerpt from Part 1. It will be followed by the entire article from June 26, 2022.
(The LORD wants us all teachable as Christians. I thank God for correction. Trying to learn as I go.
“He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding.” Proverbs 15:32.
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” 2 Timothy 3:16 )
As some may recognize a lot of what I write is to try to either strengthen, encourage or correct other Christians.
What I give out to others must always come home to me first.
We should all be willing to be corrected, checking our own hearts daily.
No one of us trying to lead in the body of Christ are except!
“For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.” Hebrews 5:12
Always keeping in mind that the book of Proverbs tell us what The LORD hates. Seven are even an abomination to Him!
“These six things doth The LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: a proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, a false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.” Proverbs 6:16-19
Reflecting on these scriptures, I’m thinking we need to really take notice to them.
Some of this may not be the lost sinner but actually so called Christians and leaders that can be operating like this.
Pride can get back in with any of us. Do we think we are any better than anyone else?
We need to keep accountable to God and to others.
We must guard our hearts against operating like we know anything on our very own.
The Holy Spirit is our teacher.
The Word of God is our Holy Standard.
We must be beyond reproach with integrity as leaders.
An old quote, “Don’t you get too big for your britches!”
There will be lies told on us probably, if we are walking right with The LORD.
The Bible tells us:
“Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” 2 Timothy 3:12
We just make sure our hands stay clean and our hearts stay pure before our Holy God.
“Who shall ascend into the hill of The LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.” Psalm 24:3-4
God bless you all.

Joyce,
So very true. Its correction that helps us learn to reflect back on our words & actions, so we are willing to change to become more like Him. HE’S ALWAYS RIGHT, Embracing correction, embraces change, which brings us closer to HIM & makes us more pliable in His Hands, so His Words & actions are fulfilled, not the ones from our heart. On target Word!
BLESSINGS! Bev
