How Comfortable Are You in Your Skin?
People I am so thankful for this time of self evaluation where God is speaking to his people in the calendar season of Rosh Hashanah.
Not that I am a person who never ask The Holy Spirit to search me daily in prayer, but I feel that God is doing a new thing in the hearts of His People, by asking them to align themselves with His perfect will.
In so doing, I believe God is helping His people to realize who they are in him.
For, if we do not know who He is how can we know where it is we are going in Him! And, the only way to do that is to begin to get an intimate relationship with him in this season.
Which means to begin to pull away with him in a place of consecration listening and asking Holy Spirit to help us to know who we are in God so that we will not be moved by the things, people and the cares of this world.
And, until we can begin to see God as our EVERYTHING and the world as second place we can never be comfortable in our spiritual skin and to not allow Satan or the things of this world to shake us from that intimate place with The LORD.
God is asking and requiring much from His People in this season, because He wants them to totally surrender to Him.
I believe that much is coming in our Nation. Satan is the god of this world and he is doing all that he can to undermine the things and the people of God trying to do all he can to distort God’s Kingdom into looking like a bunch of weak, hypocritical and pathetic individuals that we are a bunch of crazy folk seeking after a fable that has continued to be preached and still no return or a sign that Jesus is in fact coming back to rapture-up the Church!
But I thank God for revealing to me that the reason God is asking much of His people is so that, “Nevertheless, when we are judged in this way by The LORD, we are being disciplined so that we will not be finally condemned with the world,” (1 Corinthians 11:32).
God is transforming the Church so that when Great tribulations, come we will be able to endure and we will know how to be sustained in the hard times.
Just think if God always gave us what we wanted and desired, we as a Church would not be able to endure during the tough times!
I believe that great tribulations are coming to the church; as well as the nations, because God is going to use it to gather and to bring in the Great harvest as he did in the times of the disciples when the persecution of the church got so great that the church was scattered! (Acts 8:1-4)
You see, God put a fire under them, because He knew that some would never evangelize unless he allowed others to bring about opposition in their lives!
And, some even lost their lives for the Gospel; even hailed off to jail all for the Gospel’s sake!
I thank God that He is helping me to see the good, the bad and the ugly both in the church and our nation, because it helps me to appreciate the things I should and should not do in my own life.
And, as a result I am learning to be comfortable in my own natural and spiritual skin as God makes me and He molds me in the image He wants me to be!
And, no more looking over the fence thinking and believing the grass is greener on the other side!
For, Apostle Paul said, ‘I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.
‘I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.
‘I can do all this through him who gives me strength,’ (Philippians 4:11-13).
My question to you those reading this post:
Are you comfortable in who you are, who God is to you and if you are not, when great persecution comes, will you be ready to forsake all for Him?
Or will you be one of those still standing in the prayer line waiting for a new house, a famous platform or something else that this world has to offer?
Or will His Glory be enough to sustain you as it was for the Apostles in the book of Acts?
Or will you be so comfortable in your physical and spiritual skin, that you will be able to still sing songs as the Apostles did when they were beaten and placed in the stocks without any comfort of the things of this world?
“For what does it benefit a man to gain the whole world [with all its pleasures], and forfeit his soul?
For what will a man give in exchange for his soul and eternal life [in God’s kingdom]?” Mark 8:36-37 AMP.
