Hope and Joy in His Light
“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of The Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13.
These days we are in, I’m finding I need to make more intentional, conscious choices, to remain in The Light of Christ in all things.
The world, the flesh and the devil, will pull at you a-thousand-ways-from Sunday — if you let it.
LORD Jesus is showing us all how to win the high prize of Christ, in these endtimes. Staying focused and Purposed.
Seems there’s a never ending stream of things to pray and intercede about, all which are timely vital and necessary.
We all know there’s darkness over the whole earth.
Isaiah 60 describes this time of gross darkness we are in. And we all want spiritual, national and individual freedom(s) to return, as in days past.
“For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but The LORD will arise over you, and His Glory will be seen upon you.” Isaiah 60:2.
Lately, The LORD’s been giving me a Key to walk through this, and not lose heart. Here it is:
“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have shalom. In the world you will have trouble, but take heart! I have overcome the world!” John 16:33.
It’s very easy to be pulled into the malaise of depression or hopelessness as we feel the weights of the sin saturated world we live in.
So, let us remember- even in the midst of this Jesus said: “Cheer up!
I have overcome the world.
You couldn’t do it, you could never do it on your own.
So I did it for you!” says His Grace.
“Trust in, rely on, lean on Me, Jesus, and My Holy Spirit — totally, and you will overcome!
You’ll see!”
Overcomers:
The days ahead will require making conscious and deliberate choices so we don’t get sucked into the drama of darkness swirling around.
The underbelly of wickedness which has pervaded our world in recent days is like a vortex.
Don’t get pulled into its pull. Side-step the enemies land mines and word traps.
Avoid the bait of strife. Leave the company of fools and liars, whenever possible. Be with the light-minded and the peaceable of spirit.
As scripture says in Hebrews 10, all the more do we need to walk in His Light.
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one anotherand so much the more as you see the Day approaching,” Hebrews 10:23-25.
We’ll need to wash ourselves daily with His Word like never before.
We’ll need to avail ourselves of Communion, Fellowship, and Singing His Praises — assembling with the saints — doing everything we can to stay above ground — spiritually!
We already won! The devil knows it. Do we?
“Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12.
“But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.” 1 John 1:7.

Really really interesting. Love the description of a vortex. So true!
