“It is to your advantage”: Using Your HOLY SPIRIT Advantage To Succeed Always

You can never fail or fall if you always depend on THE HOLY SPIRIT to lead you, using your HOLY SPIRIT Advantage in all things, at all times.

THE LORD OF GLORY said:

“Nevertheless I tell you The Truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, THE HELPER will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of Righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of Righteousness, because I go to My FATHER and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged. “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH, has come, He will guide you into All Truth; for He will not speak on His Own Authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of What is Mine and declare it to you. All things that THE FATHER has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.” John 16:7-15.

Our LORD said It is to our advantage that HE went back to Heaven and WE have THE HOLY SPIRIT come to us.

In His Ministry for us (2 Corinthians 3:8), THE HOLY SPIRIT will, among many things:

• Guide us into All Truth;
• Speak What He hears to us. As such, THE LORD has said repeatedly in Revelation 2 and 3, “He who has an ear, let him hear what THE SPIRIT says to The Churches.” (Revelation 2:29);
• Tell us things to come.

Some brethren were forewarned by THE LORD, stayed home and were not affected by the terror events of 9/11.

THE HOLY SPIRIT will give us advance notice, direction, instruction, insight, knowledge, counsel, heads-up, etc. thus giving us a leg-up in life.

Cambridge Dictionary defines leg-up as “help that you receive that gives you an advantage over other people or makes it possible for you to do something difficult”.

This is exactly The EXCEEDINGLY Abundant Treasure THE HOLY SPIRIT our HELPER is to us in this world: We have help from Him that gives us an advantage over other people, and makes it possible for us to go through this difficult life with ease like JESUS, if we completely depend on Him and obey Him in all things.

Unbelievers do not and cannot have THE HOLY SPIRIT and His WONDERFUL, comforting Help. But we do and can. We are SO privileged in CHRIST! Hallelu-YAH! Glory to our LORD JESUS CHRIST! Amen.

We have HOLY SPIRIT Advantage in this adverse world. As our LORD has said:

“THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH, Whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.” John 14:17.

With THE HOLY SPIRIT, the waters of this life may be choppy and turbulent, but even in the midst of problems and pains, He will make movement of your life powerfully sailing and greatly advancing if you are led by Him.

• He will glorify JESUS in us and through us, for He will take of What is His and declare It to us. (All things belong to JESUS, John 16:15).

Only THE HOLY SPIRIT can help us to glorify JESUS. For “no one can say JESUS is LORD except by THE HOLY SPIRIT.” (1 Corinthians 12:3).

We can know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING of GOD and from GOD, if THE HOLY SPIRIT does not reveal It to us.

GOD has GLORIOUS Plans for everyone born on earth. And, if you are born again, GOD’s Plans for your life are revealed and carried out by THE HOLY SPIRIT as you yield yourself to Him.

He must therefore be sought always for His Instructions and Directions to succeed in knowing and undertaking the plans day by day.

As I shared in a previous Word, GOD has AMAZING Great Goodness laid up and prepared for us (Psalm 31:19; 145:7), but is only revealed and released to by His SPIRIT through THE BLOOD OF JESUS to us.

GOD has laid up and prepared His Great Goodness of GOOD Things for us, but only His SPIRIT reveals them to us.

“But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The Things which GOD has prepared for those who love Him.” But GOD has revealed them to us through His SPIRIT. For THE SPIRIT searches All Things, yes, The Deep Things of GOD. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows The Things of GOD except THE SPIRIT OF GOD. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but THE SPIRIT Who is from GOD, that we might know The Things that have been freely given to us by GOD. These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which THE HOLY SPIRIT teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive The Things of THE SPIRIT OF GOD, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” 1 Corinthians 2:9-14.

“Blessed be THE GOD and FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, Who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in The Heavenly Places in CHRIST,” Ephesians 1:3.

THE GOD and FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, Who is our GOD and FATHER has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in The Heavenly Realm, which can only be manifested in the earthly realm by Faith, prayer, discernment and obedience.

We have it all laid-up and prepared, revealed and released by GOD through His SPIRIT to us.

The spirit of the world blinds and blocks the saints from them; but THE SPIRIT Who is from GOD reveals and releases them to us through THE BLOOD OF JESUS.

THE HOLY SPIRIT knows The Plans GOD has concerning you (Jeremiah 29:11), therefore you are to seek Him and depend on Him to show you and help you to obtain them.

This may happen through dreams and visions, thoughts/ideas from GOD, angelic visitations, visitations by THE LORD Himself, GOD-ordained opportunities and favours sent our way, THE WORD, etc.

The spirit of the world blinds and blocks them; yes, steals, kills and destroys them. But, by THE SPIRIT OF GOD, we can have them revealed, released and restored to us by Faith, prayer, discernment and obedience.

Whatever situation you may be in, seek THE HOLY SPIRIT and do as He says.

Be minded and reminded always that GOD has a plan for your good in everything and every situation. Seek Him to know and undertake those plans.

The child of GOD does not have to struggle at all – no matter how difficult his situation may be. In everything, GOD has a plan, a way out and a way forward.

‘ “For I know the plans I have for you,” says THE LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.’ Jeremiah 29:11.

“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but GOD is faithful, Who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make The Way of Escape, that you may be able to bear it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13.

‘Your ears shall hear A WORD behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand Or whenever you turn to the left.’ Isaiah 30:21.

In your family affairs, financial affairs, career, business, ministry, life in JESUS, yes, in all things that pertain to life and GODliness, use your HOLY SPIRIT Advantage. Depend on Him, and deploy His Wisdom, Instruction and Direction. And you will always succeed no matter how difficult circumstances may be.

With your HOLY SPIRIT Advantage, you can turn excruciating trials into trouncing triumphs (over the enemy).

If you use your HOLY SPIRIT Advantage, “THE LORD will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed The Commandments of THE LORD your GOD, Which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.” (Deuteronomy 28:13).

In this increasingly turbulent world, unbelievers may be confounded, but we will be comforted – because of our HOLY SPIRIT Advantage. He is The Comforter, The Helper GOD has given to us. He is ever faithful, never failing.

With HOLY SPIRIT Advantage, you can do all things by His Wisdom and Knowledge.

“I can do all things through CHRIST Who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13.

In a work situation some years ago, there was a nagging engineering problem.

All persons with the necessary knowledge and expertise (including the chief engineer) tried and tried but to no avail.

When all of them had failed, I simply asked THE HOLY SPIRIT to show me the solution.

He did immediately. I implemented it instantly, and the problem was solved easily.

Now, I have NO engineering background or experience whatsoever; but I have THE SPIRIT of Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Knowledge, etc., (Isaiah 11:2). He is THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST – “CHRIST, in Whom are hidden all the treasures of Wisdom and Knowledge.” (Colossians 2:2,3).

The child of GOD has HOLY SPIRIT Advantage to have know-how far above even the most knowledgeable expert in anything. GOD knows all things, and will teach you anything if you seek Him, (John 14:26; 1 Corinthians 2:13; 1 John 2:20,27).

Remember Joseph? He was neither an economist nor a politician. But by using His HOLY SPIRIT Advantage, he was given charge of the economy and politics of all of Egypt; and the country prospered in his care and management even during a famine.

His HOLY SPIRIT-given economic management counsel saved the land of Egypt from suffering.

“So the advice was good in the eyes of Pharaoh and in the eyes of all his servants. And Pharaoh said to his servants, “Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is THE SPIRIT OF GOD?” Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Inasmuch as GOD has shown you all this, there is no one as discerning and wise as you. You shall be over my house, and all my people shall be ruled according to your word; only in regard to the throne will I be greater than you.” And Pharaoh said to Joseph, “See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt.” Genesis 41:37-41.

Because of HOLY SPIRIT Advantage, there was no one as “discerning and wise as” Joseph in all of Egypt.

Egypt had some very powerful, elite diviners and sorcerers (such as Jannes and Jambres who resisted Moses – 2 Timothy 3:8), but none was comparable to Joseph – because of His HOLY SPIRIT Advantage.

Daniel had a similar testimony in a foreign land (in exile in Babylon).

The child of GOD must excel because of His HOLY SPIRIT in him. The child of GOD must always use his HOLY SPIRIT Advantage to be above unbelievers, yes, to succeed always.

The term born again means born from above. Like our GOD and SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST, we are from Above (Heaven) and above all:

“He who comes from above is above all…” John 3:31.

Because of our HOLY SPIRIT Advantage, in all things, we must be above all like JESUS, “because, as He is so are we in this world.” (1 John 4:17).

If we seek and know The Will of THE LORD (Ephesians 5:15-17) and do what He says, we will be above all.

Joseph’s grandfather, Isaac, by The Instruction of THE LORD, stayed in the land during famine. When he sowed in the land in which THE LORD had instructed him to stay, He blessed him and he became very prosperous.

“There was a famine in the land, besides the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines, in Gerar. Then THE LORD appeared to him and said: “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you. Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you; for to you and your descendants I give all these lands, and I will perform The Oath Which I swore to Abraham your father…Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and THE LORD blessed him. The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous; for he had possessions of flocks and possessions of herds and a great number of servants. So the Philistines envied him.” Genesis 26:1-3, 12-14.

GOD will only prosper you within His Will. If you stay put where He puts you, doing what He puts in your hand, He will bless you exceedingly, abundantly above whatever you can ask or think.

To succeed in life, you have to always do one Thing: seek and do The Will of GOD by His HOLY SPIRIT in all things.

He is THE SPIRIT OF GRACE (Hebrews 10:29). If you depend on Him, you will have Grace to do anything. Anything by GOD for you.

Paul said: “I do not set aside The Grace of GOD…” (Galatians 2:21).

Anything you do or seek to undertake or obtain without GOD’s SPIRIT, Will, Wisdom, Help and Power, and so on (His ways and means), you set aside The Grace of GOD. And that’s a GREAT affront to THE CROSS OF CHRIST.

JESUS died for us to obtain all things by His Grace. Therefore, we must always ask for and depend on The Grace of GOD — The Grace of our LORD JESUS CHRIST for all things, in all things, at all times. Salvation and Things that accompany Salvation are all obtained by Grace.

HOLY SPIRIT Advantage is an overarching Provision of Grace for our comfort and help in this increasingly discomforting and unhelpful world. That’s why He is called The Comforter, The Helper.

By HOLY SPIRIT Advantage, He saved me the trouble of weeks of wait to obtain a most important document I urgently needed. I got it from the issuing department – a top-security government department, with VIP treatment to boot.

As I shared in a Word here, THE HOLY SPIRIT said to go to the very important government institution urgently for a very important document only obtained by prior online booking and vetting appointment – with weeks of waiting. As aforesaid, it is a highly-guarded security installation.

When I arrived, military and police officers guarding the entrance would not let me in without an appointment slip.

I went away and stood somewhere within the cluster of government departments, and prayed in tongues for sometime. Then, I sensed the release of THE HOLY SPIRIT to go again.

When I did, a new team of officers had taken over guarding duties. And very miraculously, THE LORD made a way for me to go in (because I went and prayed in tongues! The Power of THE HOLY SPIRIT released by prayer removed the hindrances spiritually. See James 5:16).

Not only that, as I had been seeking but momentarily forgot when I entered, a secret service operative I spoke to about my need to get the document urgently, asked me: “Do you want to see the director?” “YES!” I responded with recognition of the Divine Intervention.

He directed me to the boss’s office, and the man AMAZINGLY gave me VIP treatment in obtaining the document.

It was all by HOLY SPIRIT Advantage.

True and great success is easily achieved by HOLY SPIRIT Advantage:

“Then The Churches throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had Peace and were edified. And walking in The Fear of THE LORD and in The Comfort of THE HOLY SPIRIT, they were multiplied.” Acts 9:31.

By HOLY SPIRIT Advantage, Philip had very dramatic, POWERFUL Success when he ministered The Gospel of CHRIST to the man of Ethiopia, the eunuch. And then was given HOLY SPIRIT Flight when he finished ministering to, and baptising, him:

‘Now an angel of THE LORD spoke to Philip, saying, “Arise and go toward the south along the road which goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” This is desert. So he arose and went. And behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace the queen of the Ethiopians, who had charge of all her treasury, and had come to Jerusalem to worship, was returning. And sitting in his chariot, he was reading Isaiah the prophet. Then THE SPIRIT said to Philip, “Go near and overtake this chariot.” So Philip ran to him, and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?” And he said, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he asked Philip to come up and sit with him. The place in The Scripture Which he read was this: “He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; And as a lamb before its shearer is silent, So He opened not His Mouth. In His Humiliation His Justice was taken away, And who will declare His Generation? For His Life is taken from the earth.” So the eunuch answered Philip and said, “I ask you, of whom does the prophet say this, of himself or of some other man?” Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at This Scripture, preached JESUS to him. Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, “See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?” Then Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” And he answered and said, “I believe that JESUS CHRIST is THE SON OF GOD.” So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him. Now when they came up out of the water, THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD caught Philip away, so that the eunuch saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing. But Philip was found at Azotus. And passing through, he preached in all the cities till he came to Caesarea.” Acts 8:26-40.

By HOLY SPIRIT Advantage, Philip (without any natural transportation) did overtake the chariot of a top government official (Finance Minister/ Treasury Secretary) on a desert road, preached JESUS to him, baptised him, and was flown by THE HOLY SPIRIT to some faraway place to preach there also.

Such miraculous encounters will be experienced by various believers who will avail themselves to THE HOLY SPIRIT.

Also, by HOLY SPIRIT Advantage, we can overtake the most important people in society in anything – any accomplishment, (Acts 8:29).

By HOLY SPIRIT Advantage, we can do anything He instructs and directs and enables us to do.

“I can do all things through CHRIST Who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13.

HOLY SPIRIT Advantage is available to the believer in the very functioning of his body.

If you believe and pray for It, you can have HOLY SPIRIT-functioning body:

“But if THE SPIRIT of Him Who raised JESUS from the dead dwells in you, He Who raised CHRIST from the dead will also give Life to your mortal bodies through His SPIRIT Who dwells in you.” Romans 8:11.

As believers in JESUS, we have HOLY SPIRIT Advantage available to us to appropriate in our whole spirit, soul and body. We have HOLY SPIRIT Advantage available to us in all things that pertain to life and GODliness.

In professional tennis, a player who uses his/her advantage well has a great opportunity to win the game. In like manner, a believer who uses His HOLY SPIRIT Advantage well, will win every time in the game of this life.

Take and use your HOLY SPIRIT Advantage well in all things that pertain to life and GODliness. And you’ll have good success in this life and The Life To Come.

Jacob, an apostle of JESUS CHRIST by The Will of GOD, according to The Promise of Life Which is in CHRIST JESUS, (2 Timothy 1:1).
Like John, I like to put my head to The Heart of JESUS so as to know and do His Will always. What’s in His Heart is what matters now and FOREVER. His Heart’s Desire is my only desire. My will is to do His Will.
As John was, I am the disciple whom JESUS loves. And like Paul, I am “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS” (Ephesians 3:1) for His Purpose forever: to obey Him always.
NB. Surely, the disciple whom JESUS loves and “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS”, like ALL The Promises of GOD, are available to every believer to obtain, just as John and Paul did.
“And having been perfected, He [JESUS] became The Author of Eternal Salvation to all who obey Him,” Hebrews 5:9.
