Holy Desperation
“Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces. In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened; he saved me from all my troubles. For the angel of the Lord is a guard; he surrounds and defends all who fear him,” Psalms 34:5-7, NLT.
My child, I AM stirring up a “holy desperation” in the hearts of My children. Stirring Up! Stirring Up! Stirring Up! It is no wonder you feel great anticipation and tension in the spirit.
Even as the war-horses of old would begin to paw the ground and snort when the battle drums started, so too is your spirit man set on fire with holy desperation for the manifestation of the sons of God in this hour.
You can see holy desperation in the story of Ruth. She clung to Naomi and would not be driven back to her family and their false gods. Holy desperation caused her to declare, “Your people will be my people; your God is my God.” Though she did not know if she would be welcomed in Israel, she was compelled by holy desperation to go forth and trust in Naomi’s God.
You see holy desperation in the story of Elijah and Elisha. When it was time for Elijah to leave, he kept telling Elisha not to follow him from place to place. But holy desperation would not let Elisha be left behind.
Finally, before the Chariots of God came, Elijah asked Elisha, “What do you want?” He asked for a double portion of the spirit of God that rested on Elijah. It was a hard thing to request, but holy desperation compelled Elisha to ask for it because his spirit was stirred and would not be denied.
My holy desperation is being poured out on My holy remnant. It is compelling them to press on even as the gross darkness covers the earth. But they are not going to be denied. They will arise and shine with My glory and draw the lost to My Light.
I AM not driving My people like the taskmaster. I AM compelling them with the fire of My love in their hearts. They will not settle for anything less than the manifestation of the fullness of My divine nature in their spirits, souls, and bodies.
These are My Light-bearers who will guide many souls to safety. These are My dread warriors who will look upon the enemies of God as mere grasshoppers. These are members of the Dove Company who will do great exploits in My name. They will not touch My glory, but will exalt My Name alone.
Even as I am stirring up your heart with holy desperation, you are to stir others up. You will be like a small spark in dry wood that sets a fire that will not be quenched. This is holy fire from Heaven and will burn up all that is not of Me. Be encouraged. As My firebrand, you will set many fires in many places. I AM opening doors for you in this hour.
Receive My peace and joy even as I stir you up for My purposes. My waves of blessings are released upon you and yours. All is well. Shalom.
“Son of man, set your face toward the south; preach against the south and prophesy against the forest land, the South, and say to the forest of the South, ‘Hear the word of the Lord! Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I will kindle a fire in you, and it shall devour every green tree and every dry tree in you; the blazing flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the north shall be scorched by it. All flesh shall see that I, the Lord, have kindled it; it shall not be quenched,”’” Ezekiel 20:46-48, NKJV.
