His Ways Are Not Our Ways!
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off,” Isaiah 55:8-13.
I don’t know about you, but sometimes I find myself going over certain scenarios about how God could work out a situation or how He might lead me ahead.
It doesn’t take one very long to realize that He doesn’t follow our pattern of thinking, or think like we do.
We may be praying for certain doors to open up for a job that we have applied for. We wait and wait patiently, and sometimes not patiently, for some sign that the doors are opening soon for us.
And then sometime later, we realize and see that He was involved in the situation and that getting that particular job wouldn’t have been right for us in the long run.
He sees the end from the beginning. He knows what is best for you, even though we may think we know.
Instead of giving us a job that seemed to be the right “fit” for us, we find ourselves living day by day where He actually feeds us right from His hand.
He sees that He wants us to trust Him and to live by faith, rather than through the certainty of a paycheck that comes every two weeks or so.
Each person, and spiritual walk is different of course, and not all of His children will go through the same circumstances that we go through.
Oftentimes, our situations in life seem to have a “waiting time” involved in them. We want answers to our questions right away.
Our Father again, wants to stretch us and to be in a situation where we trust Him and become dependent upon Him.
For those of us who are self-sufficient or highly capable, this process can be quite arduous and drawn out.
Sometimes our analytical minds can easily become a road block to what He is trying to show us.
But even though His ways are not our ways, and his thoughts are not our thoughts, His ways ultimately bring us to the place where we should be.
They bring us across the river onto the other side. Otherwise, in our wanderings, we might live for 40 years traveling around in the our own wilderness never finding our own promised land.

Stephen Hanson of In His Truth Ministries came to the LORD is a special way in 1975 and has prophesied regularly since. In these end-time birthing pangs we are reminded that judgment must first begin with the household of God. Will we be prepared and ready?
True.
