His Ways Are Higher Than Ours!
Yes, His Ways Are Higher Than Ours and They Work!
Okay I know this is going to be long for some of you, but I felt it is necessary to get the point across and I feel that many will need this word right now, because of the many Jezebel attacks that have been going on in the body lately.
Be sure and read the scriptures, otherwise you will miss the point.
Yep, I know how we are lol!
Suspicion is NOT a Gift
Suspicion is not the gift of discerning of Spirits.
Suspicion comes from another source other than God. There is a greater way to discern and it is when you know that you know in your knower. It is not of the mind will and emotions.
It comes from the Spirit and when you know Him, you know His voice. God is Love and this is what Love does.
“Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].” 1 Corinthians 13:7.
How, I ask you, does suspicion line up with the way of the LORD?
I remember the LORD telling me once when I asked him why I was not ministering yet that He wanted me to say 1 Corinthians 13 five times a day until it became a part of me and I started acting out of it naturally.
Soon it would become a standard by which everything else had to line up for me. It would meet me in the morning and speak to me when I would go another direction.
The reason I am saying this is because we need to know and understand the ways of the LORD before we are trusted many times with a ministry.
I AM Not Like You!
The above is an example of someone moving in the flesh but thinking it is a gift of the Spirit, because they do not know the way of the LORD is Love. Moses prayed “Show me your ways, that I might show forth your acts to the children of Israel.”
After being a murderer, thinking he was doing something right, Moses had to spend 40 years in the desert in order to get Egypt’s thinking out of Him. God’s ways are not our ways!
In Psalm 50:19-21 God says. “You give your mouth to evil, and your tongue frames deceit. You sit and speak against your brother; you slander your own mother’s son. These things you have done and I kept silent; you thought I was once entirely like you. But [now] I will reprove you and put [the charge] in order before your eyes.”
God is saying here, “Do you think I AM like you? No I AM not!” In other words, He is saying, you misrepresent me!
Obviously the people He was speaking to here were slandering their brother out of a suspicious spirit because they thought that they were moving in the way of the LORD but God was rebuking them and not those they were speaking evil of.
Many times we think we are doing God a favor when all we are doing is moving with our own carnal motives. These motives can be because we have been through things in our lives that make us suspicious of others but this does not denote that we have a gift of discernment.
The reason this is so bad and why God hates it so much is because the very people whom we are speaking badly of are those whom God wants to use to bring others into the Kingdom! And if we have spoken evil of them, we ruin any chance of those same people getting help from them! .
Plus, we are not leaving room for God to work in their lives, to use them for His glory!
There Must Be A Standard
The point that I am trying to make here is that we must judge righteous judgement in these days when it is hard to discern evil from good. There must be a standard and that standard must be love and God’s definition of it!
Love is His way! GOD IS LOVE! It is who He is! It is who we must become like and how we must move in the church, in our homes and in our lives.
1 Corinthians 13 goes on to say that you can move in all the gifts and we can, and that is good, but it says that all of that will pass away but “LOVE NEVER FAILS.”
That’s right, if we do everything with the motive of love (and that means God’s definition of love not ours) then moving in that motive in those gifts will NEVER FAIL! After all, we have been trying to do it in our way, or the world’s way and it hasn’t worked yet.
Isn’t it time to do it His way? Look what happens when we do….
“Seek, inquire for, and require the LORD while He may be found [claiming Him by necessity and by right]; call upon Him while He is near.
Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the LORD, and He will have love, pity, and mercy for him, and to our God, for He will multiply to him His abundant pardon.
For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the LORD.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.
For as the rain and snow come down from the heavens, and return not there again, but water the earth and make it bring forth and sprout, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
For you shall go out [from the spiritual exile caused by sin and evil into the homeland] with joy and be led forth [by your Leader, the LORD Himself, and His word] with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree; and it shall be to the LORD for a name of renown, for an everlasting sign [of jubilant exaltation] and memorial [to His praise], which shall not be cut off.” Isaiah 55:6-13.
