His Goodness Keeps Running After Me!
I awakened this morning thinking about my life, the good the bad, the ugly.
As I awoke, I felt the strong presence of The LORD beside my bed. As we approach Mother’s Day, I was pondering on my life as a single mom and my heart began to sing the words to this song,
‘All my life you have been faithful,
All my life you have been so so good.
I will sing of the goodness of God…..”
As I sang, the presence of The LORD became like a covering over me. I thank God daily for His hand on my two sons in the early days of my divorce, and all the trauma and sorrow as well as my anger at the Church who sat me down, and would not allow me to teach Sunday school, because of my divorce when my husband left me for another woman.
My anger grew so deep in my hear because of the actions of ‘some of those in the Church’.
As my mind raced back to His never ending Goodness, I realized that was the beginning of learning about our heart and how tender or how hard it can be.
It was His Goodness that I walked out the love of God and forgiveness in order that my sons could know and love their dad.
Goodness! His Goodness is the power to walk in the demonstration of, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do…” (Luke 23:34)
His Goodness truly works humility in our hearts that enables us to be a mirror of His heart of love.
I recently told a friend who knows I have donated my body to science when I die, that if my sons decide to have a funeral for me anyway, please sing the song that describes my life, “The Goodness of God,” because that is my real testimony.
He has worked his love in me all these years through His goodness.
As we celebrate Mother’s Day, I stop and realize that I could not have raised my boys without the Goodness of God.
When I came back to The LORD with my whole heart, I cried, “LORD, I give them to you, because I cannot do this without you, and I have nothing to give them except what you have given me.”
He has been Faithful, so Faithful. Both of my sons have served The LORD all their lives. My youngest served in missions for over thirty years, and my oldest in the marketplace and both are good, good, excellent fathers. It is my honor to call them mine.
When I was nine years old, He gave me a Sunday School teacher who taught me to memorize the word.
It was that Word — sown in my heart — that helped keep me and draw me back to the only Father I had.
Beloved, speak The Word, meditate on The Word, share The Word. It is life to those who find it.
Don’t pass by without listening to the words of this song I share here!
There is a clashing of good and evil in the earth today that is causing much unrest. God’s Word exhorts us in Philippians 4:8,
“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” (NASB)
I often meditate on the Passion Translation, simply because it helps me see things from a different light.
I love Philippians 4:4-8 in the Passion Translation. Here is it!
“4 Be cheerful with joyous celebration in every season of life. Let joy overflow, for you are united with the Anointed One! Let gentleness be seen in every relationship, for our Lord is ever near.”
I rejoice that The LORD determines to chase after me ever moment that I lives, until I finally know and experience all the wonders of His goodness and yes, I marvel that His Mercy is new every morning.
Every morning that I wake up I will sing of His goodness.
Even if our present situation feels difficult and overwhelming, hold on because God’s amazing love is just around the bend.
“6Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before The LORD your God with overflowing gratitude. Tell Him every detail of your life, then God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding, will make the answers known to you through Jesus Christ.”
“So “8keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind,” says The LORD.
“Be sure to set your focus and keep your thoughts and mind on these things — as you let praise be continually in your mouth. (Philippians 4:8b-9)
As I receive your praise, I count it as thanksgiving, and The Glory of The LORD shall become real to you as you guard your heart and mind daily.
Know this, I have come to draw you closer, to hold you close to my heart in these unprecedented tumultuous times.
I AM working loyalty in your hearts, in a time when disloyalty is rampant in the world, and The Church.
I AM bringing the disloyalty and betrayal in the Government out in the open to be seen by all, as I do a clean sweep of all dishonesty and disloyalty.
At the same time, I AM convicting hearts of disloyalty in My House. The enemy has used disloyalty and dishonor to divide and create competition where honor and loyalty should create unity.
I AM turning the hearts of fathers to the children, and in return I AM giving the children, hearts of loyalty to the fathers.
In the coming days, I AM creating a heart of intense loyalty in My Bride.
The Bride shall show unprecedented loyalty to Her Bridegroom, as she takes a bold stand for Truth and Love in the end-times.
My Goodness and Mercy shall truly keep running after you — and giving Grace — as My Still Waters create peace in a world of discord,” says the Father.
“Yahweh is my best friend and my shepherd. I always have more than enough.
He offers a resting place for me in his luxurious love. His tracks take me to an oasis of peace near the quiet brook of bliss.
That’s where he restores and revives my life. He opens before me the right path and leads me along in his footsteps of righteousness so that I can bring honor to His Name.
Even when your path takes me through the valley of deepest darkness, fear will never conquer me, for you already have!
Your Authority is my strength and my peace. The comfort of your love takes away my fear. I’ll never be lonely, for you are near.
You become my delicious feast even when my enemies dare to fight. You anoint me with the fragrance of your Holy Spirit; you give me all I can drink of you until my cup overflows.
So why would I fear the future?
Only goodness and tender love pursue me all the days of my life. Then afterward, when my life is through, I’ll return to your glorious presence to be forever with you!” Psalm 23:1-6 TPT

Oh Sandi, thank you so much for your transparency, I believe it’s at the very top of the most important attributes in this dark time.
I can so relate to the heartache and pain you’ve endured. I lost my 16 year old daughter at the hands of another some years back. And I remember with absolute clarity the day the Lord led me to forgive him. Had I chosen to wallow in unforgiveness I wouldn’t be typing these words right now, or preparing to go to Church with my family.
I have my daughter’s picture hanging in our dining room, but she’s not just on the wall, she’s right here with us, in a dream she told me, “I’m with you more than you know Mom.”
God bless you beautiful beautiful lady!!
Happy Mothers Day! :)
Cherish! Thank you for your story…we all are so blessed to learn what forgiveness truly means and God’s goodness is always at work in us to walk in Calvary love and forgiveness! Love and blessings, Sandi
