His Esteem of You Is Immeasurable
What would you find in the backside of a desert?
Someone trying to hide? Someone running from an event that could possibly end their own existence?
Or someone hiding from an embarrassing event after being discovered, and don’t want to be known because of it?
What would The LORD do with such a person who committed an unthinkable act, while trying to save another person from harm?
After all, isn’t He known as the God of Justice?
Wouldn’t the backside of a desert be a place of seeming desolation, where no one else would want to be?
Many people look for such a place when they feel there is nowhere else safe to go.
The LORD always knew where Moses was. Moses had killed an Egyptian thinking no one knew it, or had seen what happened.
But when it was known to him that someone knew what took place, he ran — and he hid — in the backside of the desert.
There was fear in his heart and mind. The LORD knew about his fear, of course, but The LORD had a plan all along.
Many people in history have hidden themselves for fear of being found out.
During World War Two, we learn of Ann Frank, whose family who were Jews, were being hidden from the Nazi’s for fear of being killed or sent to concentration camps.
We learn of Corrie Ten Boom, whose family were hiding Jews in their own home. They were found out, and sent to concentration camps only to die of starvation. Corrie survived.
But what are we really hiding from when The LORD wants to speak to us?
He wants you to seek Him and His Kingdom because He knows the value of your life.
You may have sinned, or disobeyed Him, or ignored Him, or turned you back to Him; but there is one thing you never realized.
He has placed such a high value upon you. He has made you worth far more than anything else in this world.
No matter what you may have done that you know is really wrong to do, whether you are willing to admit it or not. His esteem for your life is immeasurable.
He still calls you by name. He still sends forth His Word to you to deliver you from your destruction. He still has a plan for the life you still have.
He still speaks from Heaven to you. He still speaks of you, and still speaks to you. He still knows when you rise up and when you lie down. He still knows when you stand and when you sit and He knows your thoughts from far off.
There is nothing hidden from Him to Whom we must give an account.
He is still saying to you:
“Come unto Me all who are labor and heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls; for My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30.
He is bringing you back from the back side of your desert.
He is giving you beauty for your ashes. He is giving you fresh oil of anointing in place of your despair.
He is The LORD Who Sees, and the God Who Knows.
The LORD has had a plan for you all along. A new sound is being released. He is causing your desolate place to sing His songs of Grace.
You will be hearing the new sound in your heart and in your spirit. For where the Spirit of The LORD is, there is Freedom — and you will be Free indeed.
