Healing the Poison in the Pot of the Prophetic
(At a recent meeting) I was asked to come today to help set a prophetic flow in the word of the LORD in our gathering. To that end God gave me the following word which has much broader implications than one local church. This is not a word simply to read and set aside. I would ask if you are a person of prayer, a leader or a lover of the prophetic – read and act upon this in intercession:
At a conference in Albany, Oregon Prophet Bob Jones related an experience he had of going to heaven. Part of that experience is relevant for my remarks today.
“…As I came into a white light, there came a feeling over me like I had never known before. I asked “What is that?”
The Holy Spirit said, “It is the love of God.”
I watched the LORD speak to people that were coming there. And He asked them only one question: “Did you learn to love?” He would ask them that question and they would say, “Yes LORD,” and He would kiss them on the lips and embrace them and the double doors of His heart would open and they would go right on in….”
Another incident from Bob Jones is important to share. I heard him relate this myself years ago when IHOP was still Kansas City Fellowship [KCF]. There was a contention in the city between the movement of the apostles led by Ernie Gruen and the prophetic stream flowing through Mike Bickle’s ministry. Bob heard an accusation against KCF and declared, “I curse the work of that man’s hand – he will not move forward in the things of God – he will come to nothing…”
There are two things that happened next that we need to make note of. First off the words that Bob spoke came to pass – that man’s ministry was exposed and his destiny became an abortion in the city of Kansas City. Secondly Bob was immediately overcome by a severe virus and spent 3 days flat on his back deathly ill. The Holy Spirit told him, “…you spent 3 seconds speaking under out from under the anointing you can spend 3 days on your back paying for it…”
We are in a time of transition. In this season, God is asking the prophetic to defer to the emerging apostolic move in the earth. John the Baptist got this. In John 3:30 he said “…He must increase but I must decrease…” Hebrews 3:1 says that Jesus is the high priest of our profession. The demonstration of the prophetic in John had to defer at some point to the increase of the apostleship of the LORD Jesus Christ. Ultimately, John didn’t get this and lost his head as a result.
The relationship between the prophetic and the emerging apostles is absolutely vital. In John 10:41, we see that John did no miracle – but Jesus didn’t do any miracles His entire life till He was baptized of John in the Jordan.
John the Baptist – a prophet was used by God to activate the Christ anointing in Jesus. The demonstration of the Spirit in the prophetic activates the demonstration of power in the office of the apostle. In 1 Corinthians 2:4, Paul (who began his ministry in the company of prophets in Antioch) understood the difference between the demonstration of spirit (in the prophetic) and the demonstration of power (in the office of the apostle).
The prophet cannot fulfill his mandate without deferring to the office of the apostle and the apostle cannot come out of obscurity until he/she is immersed in the mantling that the prophet in their life is called to activate.
If you are called to the office of a prophet, I ask you the question: do you understand the deference that God has called you to give to the apostles around you? If you are called to the office of an apostle, I ask: do you understand that until you submit to the God-called prophets around you as Jesus submitted to John, your calling will never come out of obscurity?
Now again – John was offended in Jesus. John the Baptist proclaimed that God was going to come and thoroughly purge His threshing floor and burn up the chaff of
Rome and the chaff of the corrupt Pharisees and Sadducees with unquenchable fire. Jesus came drinking wine and kissing babies and John said, “Are you he that should come or do we look to another?” Herod took his head off his shoulders shortly thereafter.
Now to the present day. In the prophetic stream and the full gospel stream, there have been a number of premature deaths in recent years.
Anything that makes you do a double take – pray to interpret. (My mention of these names is not in any way to suggest that these men were in sin or wrong in the character of their ministries).
- Kim Clement died from complications from a brain tumor.
- John Paul Jackson died prematurely just recently.
- Myles Munroe was suddenly taken from us in a plane crash.
- Prophet Michial Ratliff who prophesied to Steve Hill to go to Florida where the Pensacola Revival would take place – died suddenly at a relatively young age.
- David Wilkerson – the inaugural prophet of the current prophetic stream was violently killed by decapitation in a horrible car accident.
We could go back further and look at John Wimber who died as well of a brain hemorrhage. Going back even further we could cite the death of William Branham in 1965 by a massive head trauma, being thrown through a windshield after being hit by a drunk driver.
Now isn’t it notable that so many of these mighty servants of God are dying by head trauma even as John the Baptist? It’s dangerous to step into prophetic office or the office of the apostle.
When Jesus came on the scene Herod sought to kill anyone that might be a candidate for what God was doing in the earth. In Revelation 13:3, the anti-Christ is wounded in his head. There is also a connotation even and as well for God called, God anointed women for this current season:
“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel,” Genesis 3:15 KJV.
The enemy has set out to do to the leaders of God what is ultimately his fate. Are you praying for your prophet?
Do you even know who he or she is?
Are you praying for the emerging apostles in your midst?
When these deaths began to take place I heard the Father say, “… there is poison in the pot…” I went immediately to 2 Kings 4:40 where Elisha visited the school of the prophets and it was discovered that there were poison gourds in the pottage prepared for all to eat. Elisha cast meal into the pot and it was healed…
I asked the Father what the poison in the pot was ,and He answered “Unaccountable Sons.”
Where does the problem of unaccountable sons arise from?
Where does that problem get addressed?
God spoke in Malachi about this issue and states that before the sons turn to the fathers the fathers must first turn to the sons:
“Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse,” Malachi 4:5-6 KJV.
The hearts of the Fathers must turn first. This is the meal that needs to be cast into the pottage of the prophetic stream today.
That meal is the message that Bob Jones heard that day in heaven, “Did you learn how to love…”
In Conclusion:
- We are in a transition season between the culminating of the prophetic and the emerging apostolic leadership.
- The enemy has effectively breached our borders, because the leaders are not obeying and the intercessors are not praying.
- The prophets too often are using the anointing of God to speak out from under the anointing.
- The people largely fall under the descriptor of being unaccountable sons, because there is even in the prophetic stream a lack of interest or sobriety toward answering that question, “Who is the prophet in my life?”
- It is an hour to realize that we as leaders have been called to be fathers and mothers to a constituency whose hearts will not be turned toward what God is doing in us and through us until we learn how to love. As leaders our hearts must first turn to the rebellious, the immature, the self-centered and the uncooperative in our midst and as a people if we are to ever see the looming curse that sits on the earth and on our own ground not come.
~ Prophet Russell Walden
Prophet Russel Walden and wife Kitty were founders of Father’s Heart Ministry of Branson, Missouri, traveling internationally and in the USA ministering in the prophetic. Prophet Russ brings a new dimension to the prophetic through activation and impartation of God’s voice in your life. Russ comes from a long history in business world and full time pastoral ministry.
I suspect poisoning for many of these leaders. There’s a woman who had befriended some leaders, claiming she worked for international charitable organization, and was given access to VIP areas for different events, in fact, to run them and set up the food. About a year ago it was discovered that she was not who she said she was. Quite an elaborate hoax. Personally did not trust this woman, nor trust the food she was so generous to give out.
Spot on. Love is the key.
THANKS- WITNESSES WITH MY SPIRIT ……NEW SOMETHING WAS OFF-THIS PUTS WORDS TO IT!
Inspiring and revealing…..
