This is not the time for preaching.

Most of us have heard enough preaching to last us for years to come. As you might discern, I hesitated to make this statement, although it came to me several days ago.

In my own heart, I see no need for running back and forth across the stage shouting in a loud voice. This message is not easy at the moment, but it is what I have been led to present for us.

The first thing we are going to have to do, is to humble ourselves.

Let’s say that again. We have to humble ourselves. If we don’t get this first, the rest will not come.

You know, I thought I was a humble person. I was sure I had suffered plenty and God could easily reach me. How many years do we hide things within ourselves and not even know they are there?

What seemed small anger and resentment — that grew into a spirit we did not recognize. Things we just never got over.

It came to me recently that self-righteousness is a condition of no righteousness at all.

I started out trying to write here with one certain understanding. It was that, I am nothing. I have no title, no claim to anything and it’s only by the mercy and grace of God, if He uses me to utter a single phrase of any kind.

I would rather be dead than to offend The Holy Spirit of God in any kind of way. The Word said, “after ye have suffered awhile.” There’s nothing left now to be self-righteous about.

What might happen, if the minister were to step back from the pulpit, and get down on his or her knees, put their face to the floor, and stay there for a while; right in front of the entire audience?

Just not get up. I tell you what would happen.

The Holy Ghost would begin to hover over that place, and those who were truly seeking the Spirit would bow down also.

What if the praise singers and the musicians did the same. We don’t need fan-fare right now; we need help. We’ve got to have it.

The next part is that we have to seek His Face. So many of us know how to do that. Remember that expression, “get on your face before God.”

I’m already losing some people; I can sense that. It must be those who don’t need healing bad enough yet.

Because until we do these things first, we will not be ready to face the next part of this. It’s the part that most are wanting to leave out. The part about turning away from some things.

We the people, have accepted some things here that we know are wrong. Please don’t go writing out a list here. There is no need to rail out on any part of society, until you make a list of your own wickedness first.

To remain silent when we know we should have taken a stand, could be one of the worst forms of wickedness.

Because, to become apathetic and cold, and to live and thrive in places that have ‘arrived,” offends the Spirit.

You see, I’m preaching now. Or, The Spirit wants to speak.

I believe that the great move of The Holy Ghost that so many of us are looking and reaching for, will begin with one thing. The return to the true manifestation of The Fruit of the Spirit.

People are scared; they’re full of fear and apprehension. They have never seen or experienced any thing like this before; it may end soon, it may not.

In all of this disaster, they are now beginning to slowly reach out. To whom? Can the real Church, we the people, love one another like we once did? I will.

We Americans are going to have to humble ourselves.

There’s no more time or place, for self-centeredness or arrogance.

We know we’re in trouble. The truth is, we already were.

I’m very careful what I say. Caught unawares; distracted for such a purpose. We the people, know how to pray; and we know it works, even now.

It matters not what we hear or what we see. My… at the railings people do; so sure they’ve succeeded.

If the Church will pray and intercede, the darkness will be held back.
