He That Is Spiritual, Judgeth All Things
“But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ,” 1 Corinthians 2:14-16 NKJV.
Some of our folk, knew better. The Spirit that resided in them, discerned what was of God, of the Spirit, and what was not. In some circles, this might be considered a lost art. The truth is, in this hour particularly, it cannot remain lost; our very existence depends on it. In as humble a manner that I can, I say we must forget what others are saying about judging. That kind of “judging,” is all about, man’s wisdom.
We need to revisit and study again, just what the apostles wrote on this matter. We might claim to be like them; the test is, whether we can demonstrate the things of the Spirit, as they did. The writer here, spoke plainly about how the natural man, cannot receive the things of the Spirit of God. Though some would not admit it, the real things of the Spirit, are foolishness to them. We’ve all read, that the ways of the Holy Spirit, are “spiritually discerned.” It’s not in men’s wisdom. “Not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth.” Judging things, by the Spirit.
What have we been comparing everything to: it may sound a bit too simple to some, but we are to be comparing spiritual things, with what is spiritual. We know it, but we have somehow been distracted from the truth, that “the Spirit searcheth all things.” I truly have no desire to sound offensive, or to tear down anyone’s belief system. However, we are in a critical day. While so many are ranting about a few things, the enemy and his forces, have crept up from all directions; preventing, our “reasoning” together. The change seen in our churches, has been coming a long time.
I always felt it, but I learned recently while studying, that showing partiality, is a sin. Back then, those who were in the Spirit, saw what was unfolding among us; no matter what department it was in, whether on the platform, at the pulpit or in the pew. One might never be bold enough to say it out loud, but following the wisdom of men, the teachings and programs of men, in what is supposed to be the house of the Lord, is also a sin. Not seeking to follow the leadership of the Holy Ghost, is a grave error. It’s very destructive.
By allowing others to focus on the word “judging,” we seem to have misplaced the word “discerning.” It’s clearly stated, that we are to judge in the Spirit, by the Spirit. When we walk in the Spirit, pray in the Spirit and follow the Spirit with all of our hearts, we are in another dimension. We saw things back then; you cannot say that we didn’t. Allowing certain people to take control of the whole church, was of man’s wisdom; not of the Spirit. We knew, that a lot of those being promoted, were not anointed. The Spirit in us, saw and heard clearly; they were talented, yes. But operating in self.
When you take away the Body’s right to discern, and in this case, to judge in the Spirit, there is nothing left but men’s knowledge and the desire for power and control. The Saints will judge the world. To silence their voice, those who are genuinely called and filled with the Spirit, is a serious lapse of judgment.
The Holy Ghost has continued to teach; He is not boxed in, by men’s wisdom or by their commandments. Unless we are truly discerning in the Spirit, we know nothing. There is a call to return; to revive the ways of the Spirit. Unless we all follow Him, we all end up, in the same ditch.
