He Is the One Your Heart Desires
and Will Give You the Desires of Your Heart!

Have you ever felt that you couldn’t give as much love as was in your heart? Or have you ever felt like you knew that there was someone in your life that should love you totally and completely and yet you have never known or found this kind of love and have never been able to pour out the same love upon another person.

Oh I know some of you know what I mean…. I truly believe that God is the only one who can ever love like we need to be loved and yet we look for it in all the wrong places and in all the wrong people.

This longing that you have was given to you when you were born and what we do not realize is that it is for the one who died for you. It is put into our heart so that we will seek for it and finally find find him!

“All night long on my bed
I looked for the one my heart loves;
I looked for him but did not find him.
I will get up now and go about the city,
through its streets and squares;
I will search for the one my heart loves.
So I looked for him but did not find him,” Song of Songs 3:1-2 (NIV).

We expect it and wait for it but so many times we are disappointed in those we expect it from. Once, while complaining about some things that I felt my husband was not doing to meet this need in my heart to the LORD, He said to me, “Jo Ellen, not all of the men in the whole world could ever live up to those expectations and desires in you!

Only I can meet that longing that I put in you and be all that you need, so I died to pay for men’s shortcomings, so that you can forgive them of those shortcomings and know that I will meet those needs in your heart and you can still love them without holding it against them.”

If we believe that then we will be content and secure in His love and when we finally see him face to face, we are going to know even as we are known, by the one who IS LOVE!

I don’t think we can even fathom that in our small earthbound brains, but there is nothing that can separate us from this love, nothing…..
