HE is right here!
Glory! Glory! Glory!
“And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.
And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.
And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence: For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee: And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.
And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.
And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all,” Luke 4:1-15 (KJV)
Oh, the glory of God is shining upon you right now. Jesus was led into the wilderness by the Holy Spirit. it was not His choice, but God did have a purpose in it, not only for Jesus but for us.
You see, we have to learn to live within the confines of our faith. He has given us this glorious relationship with Himself, and because it is supernatural and not earthly , we have to learn how to operate within it.
How many of you have been led by God into a wilderness place, an uncomfortable place of distress. Know, there is a reason. Jesus went without food for forty days before He was tempted by the devil. He was at a very low place of strength physically, and Luke says He was hungry. He needed food.
Beloved, are you in a low place, unsure, in distress or discouragement, and in need? The food the world serves will only fill you with emptiness, because the world will not have the answers, only Jesus can show you the way, only the Holy Spirit can give you comfort and guidance in your wilderness experience and give you the food of life to sustain you and make you victorious.
Oh yes, the devil can be relentless in His pursuit to cause you to fail. He will try every trick in His book, and will not stop UNLESS we stand up and confront him. Jesus did this very thing. Every time the devil said, He said back. He quoted scripture and the devil was stopped.
Just because Jesus was at a low point, didn’t mean He was lacking when it came to God’s presence. You know, the Holy Spirit promises that He will bring to remembrance everything we need to know? He gives us the ammunition of His word, to blow the devil away. Every time the devil comes at you quote a verse at Him and He’ll leave, when we submit to God, doing things His way, and resist the devil, he will flee. God is all-powerful!
Now look what happened when Jesus came against the devil God’s way. The devil departed, AND JESUS RETURNED IN THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT going forward with His ministry.
My friend, you will be a different person, filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, after you come through your wilderness experience, having trusted in His word, and giving no room to the devil. Don’t despise these testing times, they are for your good and He is adding to your testimony.
You may meet someone soon who needs encouragement and you can share how the Holy Spirit helped you. The Lord now can thrust you forward into your destiny. So don’t give up. He has not given up on you, and He will not fail.
HAVE FAITH IN GOD!
“But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm,” Matthew 8:26.
“So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them,” Mark 11:22-24.
“For I know that the Lord is great, And our Lord is above all gods,” Psalms 135:5.
