He Is on Your Side!

Walk It Out!
“Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Prove yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? Unless indeed you are disqualified,” 2 Corinthians 13:5.
I know, tests and exams are not much fun, but we need to get serious in our walk with the LORD and take the time to investigate the truth about our commitment to Him.
How are things working for you today?
Do you have a bright outlook for your day and for the future or are you still looking back at your past mistakes and walking in defeat?
We need to take notice of ourselves, how we are feeling and what we are doing. Our life should be a walking proof of our faith in Almighty God, in the attitude of our heart and every decision we make.
What about the words of your mouth, they will tell on you every time because what comes out of your mouth is whats in your heart.
This verse tells us we need to know ourselves, we need to be honest about what is going on within us.
Jesus is looking for faith, that heavenly substance that cannot be purchased except from the throne of God.
In fact it is already in you, it just needs to be ignited with prayer and His word. Remember, without faith it is impossible to please Him!
Some of you have a mountain or mountains in front of you that you don’t know what to do about, well my friend, it’s time to dust out that prayer closet and dust off that bible and start digging for the answers.
The Sword of the Spirit His Holy Word is our weapon against the things that stand in our path to success and real joy, and it’s time to declare it and put the angels to work on your behalf.
The Bible says Jesus, by His divine power, has given us ALL things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, (2 Peter 1:3).
You already have it all, you have the promises of God, you are a partaker of the divine nature, and you have escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust…
But now you have to put faith to it and walk it out.
Yes my friend, it is work! But well worth it…
Please don’t stop now, because I guarantee you are closer to the finish line in this race than you think, and the whole host of heaven is cheering you on.
YOU CAN DO IT!
What About Your Prayer Life?
“Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, saying: There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man, Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, Avenge me of my adversary (Protect and defend and give me justice). And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, Though I do not fear God nor regard man, yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge (vindicate) her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. Then the LORD said, Hear what the unjust judge said. And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:1-8.
Wow, what power packed verses these are!
In this parable, Jesus gives us the solution to success and life abundant otherwise our hearts will wane and want to give up… it is PRAYER.
As the widow did to the unjust judge, we sometimes come to God seeking, even demanding our legal right as a child of God.
Yes, we have legal rights with God and His glorious promises that are ours as His child, an inheritance through Jesus that comes from His shed blood, and He as Judge is just.
When we are needing protection and defense He comes to our aid speedily and avenge us.
But what about your prayer life?
In verse one it says we always ought to pray. Not sometimes, not just when we feel like it, and not just when we need help. ALWAYS!
When we are not praying we can surly lose heart. Why?
If you stop praying your relationship is inhibited. Prayer is our lifeline, our communication with our creator and without it we will grow distant and lukewarm towards Him.
In Revelation the kind of church that had become lukewarm He said He would spew them out of His mouth (Revelation 3:15-16), and these people because of their lax lives didn’t even realize they were so bad off.
He says in v19 to be zealous and repent. He desires a living, breathing, believing, moving, and doing relationship with His children.
“The prayers of a righteous man availeth much,” He says. Sin keeps us away from Him.
There is an order to the things of God. Let’s concentrate on becoming an expert at prayer.
I want God to answer all my prayers and I know that’s what you want to, but our lives must exemplify the righteousness imparted to us.
You see, you have to appropriate the promise. You have to believe it, you have to see it, and you have to walk into it… prayer in faith is the vehicle.
It is yours, but He is looking for the one who is serious about His relationship with Him and is obedient. If there is doubt or unbelief He will not hear.
Oh LORD, open our ears to hear your word now. We repent for not praying in faith as we should.
Help us now as we turn to you and instruct us in prayer that we will not lose heart.
Amen
He Is on Your Side!
“Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our LORD Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come,” 2 Thessalonians 2:1-2.
Yes, the LORD Jesus’ return is soon to come, but no one knows the day or hour.
And, according to the verses that follow those above in 2 Thessalonians, there are things that must first take place.
I hope you are excited as I am about Christ’s return and are busy preparing your heart for the days ahead.
It is so important to know as much as we can about the days ahead and praise God He does not want us to be in the dark, but reveals much truth through His word.
But there are unknowns along our path that we cannot prepare for except in spirit.
The verse above says we are not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter… Jesus wants us to stick by His truth.
But I believe, that just because you know what will happen, doesn’t always smooth the path in our soul.
So, let’s go to Philippians 4 for some specifics. You and I need to know how to deal with the moments and weeks and years between now and His return in the light of His word.
We need His peace to flood our lives continually. As it says in v1 we are to stand fast in the LORD. How?
1 v6,7 says be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the PEACE OF GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus…
Take it to God beloved, all your questions and concerns, for He has all the answers and He will help you.
Please, this is a key…learn to be THANKFUL FOR EVERYTHING… it all has it’s purpose and God wants you to be content.
His peace is so far above the peace we think we have, and this peace will guard your hearts and minds against the attacks of the enemy to cause stress or anxiety.
This peace only comes through Jesus Christ.
2 v8 says whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is anything praiseworthy, meditate on these things.
Oh my goodness beloved, there is no shortage in the media of bad, wrong, and even terrifying news.
If you meditate on this, fear, doubt, and even unbelief can crowd your thinking.
Stop looking so intently at this stuff and get your eyes on Jesus, set your minds on things above not beneath.
There’s plenty of bad news, it’s time to look into the GOOD NEWS OF JESUS… that’s where your mind needs to be, He loves you so much!
3 v9 says The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
If you are a student of the word of God, His word is in you, written on your hearts. Let the Holy Spirit bring this word to your remembrance.
Meditate on His word, remind yourself of His goodness to you and past experiences that God has brought you through, what you learned, and His promise to never leave you or forsake you.
Encourage yourself, build yourself up on your most holy faith praying in the Holy Spirit.
4 v11 says Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content… Learning to be content is a valuable lesson.
The world is always telling you you are incomplete in some way and need to have this or that to succeed, and that you need to strive to outdo others.
If Jesus is in your heart you already have it all, He provides for you in every way and will cause you to abound…for you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.
Wow! What promises He has for us to be at peace.
We are actually to run after peace and capture it.
He alone is our Prince of Peace.
It can be done with His help.
In this world you will have tribulation, but beloved, He has overcome the world!
Be encouraged today, He is on your side!
God Bless You, you are in my prayers
