He Holds in His Hand a Plumbline — Checking the Works
Today I hear:
“I The LORD will tear down the Works not founded upon My Word.
I take a plumbline to the Works which have been done and are now being done, and for all off center, I will tear them down piece by piece, and In place of them, I will build My House!
All will be shaken, and for that which can be shaken — it will fall down.”
Scriptures:
“Thus he shewed me: and, behold, The LORD stood upon a wall made by a plumbline, with a plumbline in his hand.
And The LORD said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? A nd I said, A plumbline. Then said The LORD, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more: and the high places of Isaac shall be desolate, and the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste; and I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword,” Amos 7:7-9.
“Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: for our God is a consuming fire,” Hebrews 12:26-29.
