Have YOU Learned Anything From Your Mistakes?
As I was meditating upon the LORD, He showed me several trees that had been rooted up and destroyed! It looked as if a hurricane came through and uprooted these trees!
I asked the LORD what all this means and He is showing me how His judgment will be for those who are NOT bringing forth fruit in this season!
He said to me that these trees are the people of God and those that God has continued to warn and to prune around their tree, but still it looks as though no life is in the root of the trees, because they have decayed and are dry, because they are not receiving water and other fertilizer that they need to survive as a tree in the garden!
These trees are symbolic for leaders, (authority) shelter, an evil influence, false worship, fruitless, and are called to be coverings for others!
I believe that God is saying that these trees are called to be like the tree planted by the waters, and [that] spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit, (Jeremiah 17:8).
But, because of the worms and other infestations, these trees have withered up and died and as a result, they are of no use to anyone; especially the Kingdom of God!
My heart weeps and rivers of water runs down my eyes for those trees to which God has made a clarion call to repent and yet they have failed to heed the call!
You see, Jacob took him rods (authority) of green poplar, and of the hazel and chestnut tree; and peeled white stripes in them, and made the white appear which was in the rods (Genesis 30:37). He did this, not by his own authority or by his own abilities, but by the divine power of the Holy Ghost!
The LORD blessed Jacob to arise and to begin to flourish even after stealing the birth right of his brother Esau! Why? Because Jacob had a personal encounter with God and as a result his name became Israel causing his name to be changed and he was no longer the same!
But, I believe if Jacob had refused to accept the chastening of the LORD, he would have missed his time of visitation from the LORD! (Genesis 32:22-32).
You see, a man came and fought (wrestled) with Jacob until just before daybreak. When the man saw that he could NOT win, he struck Jacob on the hip and threw it out of joint. They kept on wrestling until the man said, “Let go of me! It’s almost daylight.”
“You can’t go until you bless me,” Jacob replied. Jacob was determined he would not let the angel go until he blessed him!
How many of us have allowed the enemy to deter us away from our blessings, because we got tired of waiting on God? But not Jacob! He held on, even in the midst of pain and heartache! He was determined he would not leave the way he came!
God will not force His people to walk in through doors. They must be willing to enter, like Jacob was!
For, I hear God saying,
“Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Not every one that saith unto me, LORD, LORD, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.”
Jacob realized that if he wanted God a change had to take place and this is why he wrestled with the angel until the break of day!
I’m sure he was tired, sleepy and in pain but he knew he could not give up on what God had promised him!
“Many will say to me in that day, LORD, LORD, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity,” Matthew 7:16-23.
For, the LORD is saying if you want me in this season you are going to have to bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: and think not to say within yourselves, we have Abraham to our father: (God is not into name dropping and who your spiritual parents are or who your leaders are but he is looking for a living sacrifice; holy and acceptable which is your reasonable service!) for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
(He is the one that chooses you and unless he draws a man or woman they can not be saved) And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire, (Matthew 3:8-10)
HELP US HOLY GHOST!
God wants His people to know that many of us are so busy worrying about our own kingdom, we have forgotten about what his will is for our lives!
Jacob had to find out the hard way that scheming, manipulating and deceiving his brother was not the right way to get his inheritance!
But, instead we are to be like a green olive tree in the house of God: and to trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever, (Psalm 52:8 KJV).
