A seriously strong warning from The LORD!

I’ve often wondered about these apparently harsh things Jesus taught.

“And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My Name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.” Matthew 19:29,

or this,

“For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.” Luke 9:24.

This seemed a little hard to me as a growing Christian. Yet, on checking my Bible, I see these, and a few others, are repeated three times in the Gospel accounts.

That’s usually a sign of the importance of what’s being said. That’s why the armed forces frequently give orders three times — to get a sense of urgency and importance across, to those it’s aimed at.

I sat pondering these things and The LORD came to me gently saying, “Let Me, help you!”

Both surprised and delighted I agreed.

“My People are coming into a new season. We have talked much about the coming Renewal, Revival, Awakening, but we’ve only brushed on the cost.

Let Me ask you, are you ready to leave everything for My sake?

Are you perhaps ready to give your life for Me and My Kingdom?

It was a very wise man who once said, ‘He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep, to gain what he cannot lose.’”

I replied, “Will the persecution be that bad, LORD, especially here in the West?”

“Do you remember nothing from history? In your lifetime, My People were hunted down and exterminated!

It will not be quite so blatant and open as it was then, but there are coming times and places where it will be illegal to affirm your faith in Me.

It will be attempted very soon even in America! Punishable by imprisonment, and confiscation of everything — possessions, family, everything!

Why? There’s already built internment camps in both America and Australia!

Why do My People turn from such in unbelief?”

“Is there any way to avoid these plans becoming reality, LORD?”

“When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My People, if My People who are called by My Name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My Face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Now My Eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.” (2 Chronicles 7:13-16)

“Let this warning act as a call to My People to repentance and to prayer.

The prayers of the saints have always been effective.

“The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” James 5:16.

Let he who has ears to hear . . . There is always Redemption for those who listen to and heed My words.”

The world is planning and chasing something too terrible to be allowed by God at this time.

I believe this is a Serious Warning of things that can happen but which can also be deferred.

These are things for the great tribulation which is not yet — it’s too early. I believe that if God’s people Repent and Pray, much of this persecution will be avoided!
