Happy New Year! – To You On GOD’s Calendar
Happy New Year! Happy New Year to you on GOD’s Calendar.
Today is 1 Abib, which begins the New Year 5783 on GOD’s Calendar.
Contrary to Scripture, Jews and many believers erroneously say Rosh HaShanah begins the new year.
And contrary to Scripture, Gentiles and almost all believers erroneously say 1 January begins the new year.
But in His Word, GOD says:
“This month shall be your beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year to you.” Exodus 12:2.
Amazingly, the start of this New Year is a Sabbath; indicating that, after all the trials and tribulations we’ve been experiencing all these years, our FATHER now gives us rest, Sabbath-rest of promises fulfilled in this new season for us in CHRIST.
This is a season of rest.
Therefore, have a Happy New Year of rest from the days of adversity.
“Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having Salvation, Lowly and riding on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey. I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim and the horse from Jerusalem; the battle bow shall be cut off. He shall speak Peace to the nations; His Dominion shall be ‘from sea to sea, And from the River to the ends of the earth.’ ” Zechariah 9:9-10.
In THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, I decree and declare, yes, I prophesy to you that, by The Power and Coming of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, your warfare of delays, trials and tribulations is ended. Amen.
He has cut off the chariot from Ephraim and the horse from Jerusalem; the battle bow is cut off. He speaks Peace to you and your household; His Dominion covers every area of your life with victory and triumph by His BLOOD.
Explainer
Abib (Exodus 13:4) is pronounced Aviv. It has also been called Nisan since the Babylonian exile.
Nisan is an Akkadian word.
Now, Rosh HaShana was designated The New Year in the Talmud (the text of Rabbinic Judaism), which, according to Wikipedia, is rooted in the Judaism of the Pharisees.
Like the practices of the Pharisees in the days of JESUS, Rabbinic Judaism, “the mainstream form of Judaism since the 6th century” (Wikipedia), says, commands and does a lot of things not in The Word of GOD.
So is their designation of Rosh HaShana as the start of the new year, instead of Abib in which GOD instituted Passover. Yes, Passover of the children of Israel from death and bondage into the New Year of new life of freedom in the new land – The Promise Land.
Likewise, our LORD JESUS CHRIST was crucified at Passover to deliver us from death and bondage into newness of life and freedom in CHRIST, and ultimately The Promise Land of The Holy City, New Jerusalem.
And so, we ought to celebrate the Biblical New Year with exceeding thanksgiving, great joy, great reverence, importance and seriousness of The Cross.
Although GOD still uses and works with the man-made calendars of both Jews and Gentiles, His Calendar is of utmost importance and reverence.
GOD’s Calendar for man begins with The Cross of JESUS.
Happy New Year! From The Cross.
Postscript
You can read more about the three calendars (GOD’s Calendar, Jewish calendar and Gentile calendar) at the bottom of this previous Word: “2222 — GO Through The Open Door To Resurrection Riches!”
“The LORD Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.” 2 Timothy 4:22.
“Farewell” Acts 15:29.
~ Jacob Addison Awagah
Jacob, an apostle of JESUS CHRIST by The Will of GOD, according to The Promise of Life Which is in CHRIST JESUS, (2 Timothy 1:1).
Like John, I like to put my head to The Heart of JESUS so as to know and do His Will always. What’s in His Heart is what matters now and FOREVER. His Heart’s Desire is my only desire. My will is to do His Will.
As John was, I am the disciple whom JESUS loves. And like Paul, I am “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS” (Ephesians 3:1) for His Purpose forever: to obey Him always.
NB. Surely, the disciple whom JESUS loves and “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS”, like ALL The Promises of GOD, are available to every believer to obtain, just as John and Paul did.
“And having been perfected, He [JESUS] became The Author of Eternal Salvation to all who obey Him,” Hebrews 5:9.
I did not know it was Nisan but lit a candle on that day.
