Growing Up Unto the Head!
“That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; but speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ,” Ephesians 4:14-15.
We are all just mere men and women, no matter what our level of maturity, position in Christ, or giftedness.
Our primary aim then should be to grow up into Him which is the head. We are not called to grow up into any other spiritual body part no matter how beautiful or convincing that part may be.
For you see, many seek after various leaders in the body of Christ and they follow them rather than the head. Many seek after various words and teachings from some prophet or teacher.
These words and teachings may well point the way to Christ and they should, and yet the eye may well see and the ear may well hear what the Head is doing, but the eye and the ear are only a part, and thus are not to be sought.
Any apostle, no matter how wise or mature, is not to be followed as the ultimate aim. They are but fellow parts in the body itself and are not to be the aim of anyone.
Any shepherd or teacher no matter how compassionate or eloquent in their speech cannot be a substitute for those who follow after Christ.
For we all seek Him who is the “only” One that we should follow. We are all in this race seeking after the One who is the ultimate end of our race.
Why would we seek a mere mortal whose flaws and humanity will eventually led us down a trail that is separate from the One who is at the end of the race?
Would it not be obvious that those very ones that some seek are also seeking Him?
We cannot live without the sun to keep us warm and to allow for growth in all living things upon our planet.
The light that comes from this great solar energy exhibits a light that cannot be mimicked or replaced by anything man can create. And yet some would think that a mere lamp would give forth enough light as if to replace the sun’s rays and light.
In the same way, a mere follower of Christ, a lamp, cannot in any way shine forth the light that comes forth from the Son of God.
Seek only the One who is to be sought above all the rest. He is the first born among many. He is the Bright and Shining Star, the Hidden Manna, the Only Door, the Alpha and the Omega, the Bread of Life, and the only wise one.
Amen.
Selah,

Stephen Hanson of In His Truth Ministries came to the LORD is a special way in 1975 and has prophesied regularly since. In these end-time birthing pangs we are reminded that judgment must first begin with the household of God. Will we be prepared and ready?
Wonderful. Lovely.
AMEN PREACH IT BROTHER! We are never to elevate the words, thoughts, and ideas of men above the TEXT of the SCRIPTURE ITSELF. YAH is Breathed into the Word. The Scriptures and the Scriptures alone as the authority for what I believe and the Ruach Ha’Qodesh helps me to understand Yah’s Qodesh Word.
