Grace Will Carry You Through, But You Have To Ask For More of It
If it feels unbearable, then you need to ask for more Grace. Grace to bear it.
Grace provides The Way of Escape to bear things.
“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but GOD is Faithful, Who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make The Way of Escape, that you may be able to bear it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13.
Although Grace was given to each one of us by Which we got saved, we must always ask GOD to give us more Grace to enable us do things, or go through things.
We must humble ourselves before Him and ask, because ‘He gives more Grace. Therefore He says: “GOD resists the proud, But gives Grace to the humble.” ’ (James 4:6).
“Let us therefore come boldly to The Throne of Grace, that we may obtain Mercy and find Grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16.
Our LORD JESUS said, “without Me, you can do nothing.” (John 15:5).
Nothing means nothing. That includes drinking water. That includes breathing.
We cannot even drink water without The Help of JESUS. Literally.
We cannot breathe without JESUS. For He is The Breath of Life in every man.
“And THE LORD GOD formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils The Breath of Life; and man became a living being.” Genesis 2:7.
It is only by The Grace of our LORD JESUS CHRIST that we live.
All things must be done WITH our LORD JESUS CHRIST.
We can only serve GOD as expected of us if we ask and have His Grace to do so.
“Therefore, since we are receiving a Kingdom Which cannot be shaken, let us have Grace, by Which we may serve GOD acceptably with reverence and GODly Fear. For our GOD is A Consuming Fire.” Hebrews 12:28-29.
In everything, big or small, I often ask: “LORD, give me Grace to do this.” “LORD, help me to do this.”
And He always does.
When He does, some lightness and enablement come to me to accomplish the task at hand.
On occasion that I forgot to ask for Grace, it was a grind, instead of the glide it is supposed to be.
We are saved by Grace; we can only be sustained, and stay on course, by Grace. We must always ask and have Grace for the race.
A favourite, helpful prayer I frequently pray is: “LORD, without You I can do nothing. I can do all things through CHRIST Who strengthens me.” (John 15:5; Philippians 4:13).
We must acknowledge our inability to operate in His Ability.
It is a revelation Paul walked in, and succeeded.
When circumstances become taxing and testing, I repeatedly quote Paul, and I get Divine Power and Strength to get through / overcome:
‘And He said to me, “My Grace is sufficient for you, for My Strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities [weaknesses], that The Power of CHRIST may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities [weaknesses], in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for CHRIST’s Sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9-10.
And I add: “LORD, give me Your Sufficient Grace and Perfect Strength.”
Likewise, when the evil one is trying to attack me / my mind with discouragement, exhaustion, frustration, stress, or other negativity, REPEATEDLY declaring Isaiah 61:3 gets him dismayed and destroyed easily.
I proclaim: “In JESUS’ NAME, I have beauty for ashes, The Oil of Joy for mourning, The Garment of Praise for the spirit of heaviness…”
When you turn light on, darkness has to flee.
As written,
“the darkness is passing away, and The True Light is already shining.” 1 John 2:8.
“The Entrance of Your Words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.” Psalm 119:130.
By Grace we are saved, by Grace we are sustained. Ask for more Grace, more and more.
Pray to have Great Power and Great Grace for things to be great.
“And with Great Power the apostles gave witness to The Resurrection of THE LORD JESUS. And Great Grace was upon them all.” Acts 4:33.
“The LORD Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.” 2 Timothy 4:22.
“Farewell” Acts 15:29.
~ Jacob Addison Awagah
Jacob, an apostle of JESUS CHRIST by The Will of GOD, according to The Promise of Life Which is in CHRIST JESUS, (2 Timothy 1:1).
Like John, I like to put my head to The Heart of JESUS so as to know and do His Will always. What’s in His Heart is what matters now and FOREVER. His Heart’s Desire is my only desire. My will is to do His Will.
As John was, I am the disciple whom JESUS loves. And like Paul, I am “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS” (Ephesians 3:1) for His Purpose forever: to obey Him always.
NB. Surely, the disciple whom JESUS loves and “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS”, like ALL The Promises of GOD, are available to every believer to obtain, just as John and Paul did.
“And having been perfected, He [JESUS] became The Author of Eternal Salvation to all who obey Him,” Hebrews 5:9.
I am a product of GRACE. I will like to testify that my God faithfully multiplying His Grace on me to counter Satan’s increase offenses against me. Yes, God’s Grace is readily available & sufficient for me. May His Grace see you, your ministry, family & all that concerns you through whatever Satan brings your way. Thank you Sir.
