Grace for Your Soul
LORD, I’d rather serve the poor, the forgotten, and the foreigner: for these have nothing to loose and everything to gain.
The longer I’m in ministry, the more I understand why Jesus walked the earth in the upmost of humility.
I understand why He made His home with the poor, defended the rejected, sat with sinners, and desired no reputation.
He came for the sick who knew they were in need.
Those who think they’re well can’t be told that they’re not.
Wealth blinds men.
Earthly power rots the soul.
Those who have something to loose will fight to keep it.
Expose a void — and they will strike like serpents.
I’ve sat among the wealthy and I understand the lament of Solomon: “Vanity of vanities, all is vanity.”
No amount of money given, politics preached, nor status obtained can purchase your name in The Book of Life: only The Blood of The Lamb and the word of your testimony (that you’ve passed the test).
Saints, do not seek the treasures of this life (and don’t be fooled by those who simply wear the name of Christ): it will all soon pass away in a whimper, and your soul will be left naked and ashamed.
Trust The LORD to supply your needs, and be willing to give away any extra.
This will produce rubies in heaven. And do not despise correction: it is Grace for your soul!
Shabbat Shalom

Amen! Precious truth Mena! I pray that I am able to stand before the Son of Man! His rod and His staff, his correction and discipline of us, is so precious! Pray for me that my faith will not fail. I know the days ahead won’t be easy! We need His strength!
