Going After God with Everything in Us!
Going After God with Everything in Us!
How do we do that?
One way is to give thanks in all things!
“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18.
Be it bad or good, our God can bring good out of every situation!
( Refer at end to all other scriptures. )
As The Word says, first comes the natural then the spiritual.
We know the natural.
Now with our spiritual senses we can taste; see; hear; feel; and smell after God.
It is very important to exercise and sharpen all five of our spiritual senses!
As I woke up the other morning, I was thinking how all this fits together.
I am closing with some scriptures to put this together. This is only a start.
As always compare scripture with scripture, running references.
It is wise to read verses surrounding them also, to bring more light.
God bless you all.
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” 2 Timothy 3:16.
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28.
“Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.” 1 Corinthians 15:46.
“O taste and see that The LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.” Psalm 34:8.
“To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.” Acts 26:18.
“And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And The LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.” 2 Kings 6:17.
“And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.” Isaiah 30:21.
“And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before The LORD. And, behold, The LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before The LORD; but The LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but The LORD was not in the earthquake: And after the earthquake a fire; but The LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice”… (read more) 1 Kings 19:11-12.
“That they should seek The LORD, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:” Acts 17:27.
“But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.” Philippians 4:18.

I absolutely enjoyed reading this. This is exactly what I have been trying to tell everybody not this way, but in other ways….
Thanks Jon for your time you took reading and responding! More fire power to you in intercessory prayer as you move forward. Much love beloved son in the Lord, Mama Joyce
Joyce,
And here I thought giving thanks with a grateful heart was “NORMAL” for should we not give thanks in EVERYTHING? EVEN for the trials & tribulations? Although many (including me at times) have not always seen the value in trials & tribulations when going through them, in the end hopefully I have learned their many lessons, so that I can get off the merry-go-round and move forward, instead of continuing to ride it, because I didnt learn it, & need to continue to REPEAT the lesson at another time, until it is learned.
SINCERE THANKFULNESS in everything is one of the MOST INCREDIBLE BOOMERANGS GOD GIVES US, as it ALWAYS RETURNS WITH BLESSINGS!
GOD BLESS YOU, DEAR JOYCE, as you have truly been a GREAT PART OF GOD’S BOOMERANGS for too many to count!!! Truly a MULTITUDE OF BLESSINGS ARE YOURS!
MANY BLESSINGS to you in ALL THINGS. TRULY YOU ARE GOD’S BELOVED!
Much Love, Bev
Dear Bev and Adam. I surely get so behind at times but thank you both for coming by and commenting.
I love and appreciate you much! Blessings in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
The Holy Bible is so vast/deep in meaning that can’t be understood by anyone without the help of the Holy Spirit. Mama, recall we have several versions of the Holy Bible now with several interpretations which might be confusing to some people & so It’s very important to compare scripture with scripture, running references & read verses surrounding them for better explanations as led by the Holy Spirit. Personally, most times i am led to read a whole Chapter for better understanding. In summary, Our God is fearsome & a Jealous God who we must serve with all our heart, might & strength (i.e everything we have/wholeheartedly). Thank you Mama Joyce.
