God’s Wisdom Works In Us
God’s wisdom works in us, helping us walk worthy of the calling to which we are called.
“I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to walk worthily of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love, being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” Ephesians 4:1-3.
“For we are his workmanship, created in Messiah Yeshua for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10.
“Messiah is the power of God and the wisdom of God.”
“Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Hasn’t God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For seeing that in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom didn’t know God, it was God’s good pleasure through the foolishness of the proclaiming to save those who believe. For Jews ask for signs, Greeks/non-Jew pagans/ seek after wisdom, but we proclaim Messiah crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Greeks, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Messiah is the power of God and the wisdom of God; because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.” 1 Corinthians 1:20-25.
“For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor? Or who has first given to him, and it will be repaid to him again?” For of him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory for ever! Amen.” Romans 11:34-36 (Jude 1:17-25)
God gives us a Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation, enlightening the eyes of our hearts.
After revealing the blessings God blessed the Ephesians with in Messiah Jesus, (Ephesians 1:1-14) Paul taught how God made it possible for us to comprehend them in the knowledge of Him.
God’s wisdom forms the plan; knowledge knows the ways of carrying it out.
“For this cause I also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Yeshua which is among you, and the love which you have toward all the holy ones, don’t cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the holy ones, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might which he worked in Messiah, when he raised him from the dead and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule, authority, power, dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come. He put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things for the assembly, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.” Ephesians 1:15-23 (2 Corinthians 4:6; Colossians 2:2; Ephesians 3:16)
We show forth this wisdom in our one another relationships thru the fruit we bear.
Thus we do what God created us to do.
“This I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense to the day of Messiah, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are through Yeshua the Messiah, to the glory and praise of God.” Philippians 1:9-11.
Scripture quoted is from the World Messianic Bible.
