God’s Scriptures, that set me Free!
I want to give you a key for finishing your course in Him. When I was first called, I doubted that I was, because I was intimidated by those with education, money, influence, social status. I would lay in the floor and cry out to God that the older women should be teaching me, not visa versa. Soon, God began to blow all of my excuses away, one by one. He said that He had called me and anointed me, and none of that mattered. But these scriptures are the ones that He spoke to me that set me free!
It was like, once He spoke them, a huge weight came off and the anointing began to flow without intimidation:
“Faithful is He that calleth you; He also will do it,” 1 Thessalonians 5:24 (KJ21).
When he gave this to me, it was so liberating! If He called you, He will do it. Period, and the next one is this:
“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ,” Philippians 1:6 (BRG).
If he started it He will perform it. Such a deal. We just can not lose.
Then this one and it will seal the deal:
“For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure,” Philippians 2:1.3.
If He willed it, He will also do it! Glory to God!
And this is your part to finish your course:
“Because of this, brethren, be all the more solicitous and eager to make sure (to ratify, to strengthen, to make steadfast) your calling and election; for if you do this, you will never stumble or fall,” 2 Peter 1:10 AMP.
What an amazing God we have who will not only call little ole’ us to do His great work but will also do it through us!
What I want to say to you is that, what He wants to encourage you with today is that, you should trust the God who called you, because He does not call you without also giving you His Spirit and gifts to do it through you!
He will perform what He began. He will perfect all that concerns you and if you will focus on your calling and election you will never fall away! It doesn’t matter about any of your qualifications or disqualifications. He qualifies the called, He doesn’t call the qualified.
Why? So that He gets all the glory and then you get all of the blessings of serving and loving Him and others.
Oh what a glorious Plan our God has for us! Rest in this word, and trust the God that is in you! Look to His strengths and not your weaknesses! You will then begin to see what mighty works he wants to do through you!
