God’s Holy Hill
According to Psalm 2 and other passages, the whole point of every Aliyah by God’s people from Egypt first, then from Babylon and now from all the countries from the earth – was that God, the God of Israel promised to come down to dwell in Jerusalem on His holy hill with His people.
That was the reason that Jerusalem was more important and special than all the other cities in Israel.
It was the climax of every return or Aliyah by the Jewish people to their city that they build God a house or temple for Him to dwell in just above the Ark inside the Holy of Holiest.
After the return from Babylon the temple was built by Zerubabel, later beautified by King Herod – and now as is already foretold in the magnificent eight chapters from Ezekiel 40 – 48 – the third and final Temple will be built ready for Israel’s Messiah when He will come to dwell with His people in His city – “the city of the great King”.
It was foreseeable that with the new shift among some of the more Sunni oriented Middle East countries like Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt and others towards a willingness to accept the fact of a Jewish State: Israel in their Muslim Mid-East that sooner or later they would pressure President Donald J. Trump to be more forthcoming in regard to a peace by Israel with the so called Palestinians.
In this respect two minimum demands for such ‘a peace’ will be the establishment of a Palestinian state or entity and a ceding of at least East Jerusalem or part of it as the capital of – such a ‘still to be negotiated by the parties’ – Palestinian state.
This in effect would derail the whole presidency of Donald Trump in regard to the initial and amazing goodwill he established with Israel by the courageous decision announced by him to move the United States embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
If pursued, this plan to divide the land of Israel and Jerusalem for a Muslim oriented Palestinian State and city to be established, would not only spell the end of any true peace in the region, it would cast henceforth a cloud of darkness and foreboding over the so beautifully begun feeling of friendship, love and support with which President Trump began his first year’s presidency towards Israel.
That this all will be brought to the region by way of Jared Kushner, Donald Trump’s Jewish son in law whom he has charged to work out this so called peace plan with the Israeli government and Palestinian authority – indicates a repeat of the by now known problematic history in relation to the never reached solution of this Middle East problem often by way of the Kissingers, and other Jewish “do gooders’ all intend to become the channels of solution to this problem by showing the sworn enemies of Israel that they were willing for these enemies to do their work for them in pressuring Israel essentially to agree to divide their land and city of Jerusalem to reach the as yet unattained goal of “peace”.
It will not work President Trump, even if Jews are your chosen envoys for this “peace”.
May these words of Psalm 2 be a guide and blessing to us all!
Psalm 2
“1 Why do the nations rage,
And the people plot a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves,
And the rulers take counsel together,
Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,
3 “Let us break Their bonds in pieces
And cast away Their cords from us.”
4 He who sits in the heavens shall laugh;
The Lord shall hold them in derision.
5 Then He shall speak to them in His wrath,
And distress them in His deep displeasure:
6 “Yet I have set My King
On My holy hill of Zion.”
7 “I will declare the decree:
The Lord has said to Me,
‘You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You.
8 Ask of Me, and I will give You
The nations for Your inheritance,
And the ends of the earth for Your possession.
9 You shall break them with a rod of iron;
You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.'”
10 Now therefore, be wise, O kings;
Be instructed, you judges of the earth.
11 Serve the Lord with fear,
And rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, lest He be angry,
And you perish in the way,
When His wrath is kindled but a little.
Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.”
