God’s Blessings Are Conditional
Godly wisdom of course comes from God and honors God.
Godly wisdom starts with the fear of God and results in a holy life. Without it, we as a Nation or family will remain without bliss and total darkness.
Worldly wisdom, on the other hand, is not concerned with honoring God, but with pleasing oneself and is mere selfishness on the part of the individual.
With worldly wisdom, we become educated, street-smart, and have “common sense” that enables us to play the world’s game successfully, but it fails to enables us to prepare ourselves for eternity; as well as Kingdom living.
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get an understanding. Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her. And, She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee, (Proverbs 4:7-9 KJV).
Having and obtaining godly wisdom means we, as believers, strive to see life from God’s perspective instead of our own and act accordingly; unlike the world whose desire is to please self!
Years ago The LORD spoke to me that life is like a maze, and if we are not careful, we can be forever and forever repeating the same mistakes and learning absolutely nothing from the mistakes we have made as both a Nation and as a family — going around and around in circles never making it to our final destination in life!
Everyone makes mistakes, but the difference is that the wise learn from their mistakes and take steps to avoid repeating them.
The foolish may make the same mistake over and over again and never learn their lesson.
Godly wisdom often requires us to do that which is opposite our natural desires and urges. Godly wisdom goes against the “normal wisdom” of the day; it is not focused on self-preservation but on furthering the kingdom of God; instead of our own inclinations.
We can only live in godly wisdom when we are committed to crucifying our flesh for Christ and living in the Spirit (see Galatians 2:20; Ephesians 5:16, 25).
The Bible states that we gain godly wisdom by learning God’s Word. The Bible states,
“The commandments of God will make you wiser than your enemies, for they are ever with you. And, you will have more understanding than all your teachers, for His testimonies are my meditation. And, I shall have more understand than the aged, for I keep your precepts” (Psalms 119: 98-100). For, the unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple,” (Psalm 119:130).
Oh that the simple of this world would only seek our God Jesus prayed to the Father: “Sanctify them by your truth; your word is truth” (John 17:17).
For, I believe that God wants His followers to be set apart from the world, making godly choices and living godly lives (1 Peter 1:15). And, We can only do that when His Word lives in and abides within us.
The Bible warns us, that if we lack wisdom, ask it of God who wants to richly give it to us liberally.
Solomon received godly wisdom when he asked The LORD for it (2 Chronicles 1:10–11).
And as a result he became one of the richest men in the world and was known for his great wisdom, yet, in his later years, he turned away from God and from following the wisdom he’d been given and he disobeyed The LORD and even began to worship idols instead of God, (1 Kings 11:1–11).
One thing we as a Nation need to understand is that receiving godly wisdom alone did not insure that Solomon would follow the path of this godly wisdom because it is a free choice.
Sadly, Solomon exchanged his godly wisdom for worldly wisdom, and he ended up suffering for it in the end.
The LORD warned Solomon what would happen if he turned to other gods to serve them and yet he went on his own path of righteousness to do his own thing; as a result, God would no longer be with him like he was with his forefather: David!
But Solomon did not listen and because he did not (went after strange women and idols) Solomon’s downfall came as The LORD removed His hand of blessing from a man who was once great. (1 Kings 11: 1-8)
~ Apostle Geraldine Fisher
Apostle Geraldine Fisher has a World-Wide-Social Media Net-Work Ministry. As a Missionary, God moved her into the Office of a Prophet, revealing to her the qualities of a True prophet, humility, humiliation, loving others, interceding in prayer, as she keeps her own life clean to accurately hear from God. Since hearing the audible voice of God calling her to ministry, she’s been called to intercede and pray for others in ministry as God speaks, instructs, directs and gives prophetic words for her to give to others. God promised He would bring her to sit and to learn before great men, all of which He did!
Awesome. Thank you.
As a member of a particular fellowship for 7 years, God ask me one evening, “What was I waiting for? Why was I procrastinating? He had mentioned about coming out. And that Eve, I informed the leaders, in last March.I was waiting for God to speak to me and tell me as I would feel I was in the wrong place. But after I left He said that because of Wisdom and Knowledge He Give me, I should’ve known, as He is His Word. Thank you for that Word on Wisdon.
