I was in the midst of resting and as I was resting: I kept saying: “I am tired, I am so tired! Then God spoke these words to me, “broken cistern!”

I said what does this mean? He said, My people are living in a dry and thirsty land! For My people have committed two evils; they have forsaken Me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns (was used to catch water when it rained), broken cisterns, that can hold no water. He said, Is Israel a servant? is he a home born slave? Why is he spoiled? (Jeremiah 2:13-14).

God begin to say to me that there is a difference in the way we as Christians thirst and the people who are not saved thirst! He said the world is caught up on the fashion, vanity, and the pride of life! Which means the people of the world may go out and purchase a new dress, new husband, new car every year! Where as the people of God are continent with the life they have! They are not caught up in the pride of life and trying to please every Tom, Dick, and Harry! My God My God!

I can hear some of you asking the question: is it wrong to have and to desire nice things? No, of course not; but the problem is when things are possessing you!

I hear God saying these things take presidency in our lives when we DESIRE them more than we DESIRE God! They take presidency when we are like the woman at the well; the husband (wife) you now have is not yours either and your flesh is still desiring another wife! (John 4:18). You see the eyes of man is never satisfied! Why? Because, in the beginning God created man in his image and it was his desire for man to thirst and to hunger after that which is holy and righteous but man destroyed his relationship with God and as a result; man had to be redeemed back to God, and not himself!

This is why so many of you are constantly unhappy and you are constantly in search of peace! You keep trying new things; drugs, a all of types of sexual acts, and running up credit card debt trying to prove to others you are somebody special etc……. but I want to tell you that God loves you just as you are!

God wants you to stop building these broken Cisterns that can hold no water and the water that it does hold is smelly and contaminated! But, the water that God shall give to you shall be a drink of water that will cause one to never thirst. Indeed, the water He shall give you will become in you a spring of water; welling up to eternal life,” (John 4:14).

I heard God saying, My people have become spoiled! I said how? He said they want so many things of this world that you can’t tell them, from the world!

I heard God saying that they are so spoiled, that they have become FASHION MODELS for the world and they will do any and everything to be like the Egyptians!

You see, I heard God say, “Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!” (Isaiah 31:1).

I hear God saying it is time to allow God to fulfill the voids in your life; instead of seeking God in places he is not! For, I heard God saying, You will never be filled as long as you are trying to fill your self with cisterns that are broken or where the water has become polluted!
