God is NOT the author of confusion!
When the Lord comes to me and speaks, “Thus Saith The Lord,” or any other words, there is no “confusion” or “assumption” of what He is saying.
I think because there are so many false prophets and teachers out here today, people have lost respect for who TRUE prophets are. The one thing that kills me the most is when people come to me and attempt to “explain” what the Father has already made very clear to me. I understand very clearly what He says. This is how you know if you’ve truly been in the presence of the Lord. There is no confusion because God is NOT the author of such.
Understand that there is a difference between having the “gift” of prophecy, which anyone can have, and being called into the office of a prophet. TRUE prophets are the mouthpiece of God. Regarding Moses (who was a prophet), God told the people in Numbers 12:8, “With him I speak mouth to mouth, Even openly, and not in riddles, And he beholds the form of the LORD.”
God does not speak to His prophets in riddles, so there’s no need for people to try and dissect or “interpret” what is being said. I understand that God reveals in parts; this is true.
But again, when God has spoken to me, it has always come to pass. For those who feel as though they need to “educate” me on what the Lord has made Himself clear on; remember this; prophets are subject to prophets, and we answer only to God and not man (1 Corinthians 14:32).
I will leave you with this scripture.
“Son of man, your people talk about you in their houses and whisper about you at the doors. They say to each other, ‘Come on, let’s go hear the prophet tell us what the Lord is saying!’ So my people come pretending to be sincere and sit before you. They listen to your words, but they have no intention of doing what you say. Their mouths are full of lustful words, and their hearts seek only after money. You are very entertaining to them, like someone who sings love songs with a beautiful voice or plays fine music on an instrument. They hear what you say, but they don’t act on it! But when all these terrible things happen to them — as they certainly will — then they will know a prophet has been among them,” Ezekiel 33:30-33.
Shalom
