God has the Chisel out!
This morning I saw God using a chisel to carve out the rough places in our lives! Good spoke the number nine (finality) to me and he showed me a pair of feet (humility) and toes (middle finger, pointer finger) evangelist/prophets/apostle!
The carver (God), places the point of the chisel or the edge of the pitching tool, against a selected part of the stone (what ever is broken), and then swings the mallet at it with a controlled stroke. Why? Because accuracy is very important in this season if the sculpture is to be made perfect in the hand of the carver! He (God) must be careful to strike the end of the tool accurately; the smallest miscalculation can damage the stone, not to mention the sculptor’s hand.
This is why God sends trials and tests in our lives in order to work out the miscalculations within our lives that he wants to remove in order to make the sculpture perfect! When the mallet connects to the tool, energy is transferred along the tool, shattering the stone.
I heard God say this morning many of you need to be shattered and even broken! Why? Because your heart is still not right and if God is to use you the prophets, evangelist, and apostles in this season than He will have to chisel away at some things in our lives!
I heard God say this morning that some folks still can’t forgive; full of pride (feet are not humble) and you need humility, full of envy, hate/ malice, strife, and division in the body of Christ! So, until you can allow God to work on these in-perfections you will remain under the chisel! Some folks there eyes have gone dark and there vision distorted so God will have to reconstruct it by using the chisel to take out of you the things that are hindering your walk with Christ!
I hear God saying many folks have lost their joy, and God will have to use the chisel to restore it!
Most sculptors work rhythmically, turning the tool with each blow so that the stone is removed quickly and evenly. This is the “roughing out” stage of the sculpting process. Oh, but I hear God saying that many of you have some rough edges and he is going to have to send some rough storms in your life in order to make the sculpture perfect in the hand of the carver (God)! However; if He (God) can not get the kinks out the sculpture you will not be of any use to Him, and no one will buy a sculpture that is full of lumps and marred in the hand of the sculpture in this season!
I heard God say that he is long-suffering and patient, but even a sculptor (God) has to admit when the work that he has done is not worth the amount of work that he is putting into the sculpture, and so a decision will have to be made as to whether or not he will keep the sculpture or throw it all away and take the loss of the materials that he has purchased in order to build this sculpture!
Once the general shape of the statue has been determined, the sculptor uses other tools to refine the figure. God is saying that he will sharpen his chisel on you just as any sculptor would in order to insure the work is done with accuracy! A toothed chisel or claw chisel has multiple gouging surfaces which create parallel lines in the stone. These tools are generally used to add texture to the figure. An artist might mark out specific lines by using calipers to measure an area of stone to be addressed, and marking the removal area with pencil, charcoal or chalk. The stone carver generally uses a shallower stroke at this point in the process.
I hear God saying, “The word which came to Jeremiah from the lord saying, arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words (hearken/listen). Then Ii went down (willingness) to the potter’s house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred (admit) in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it. Then the word of The Lord came unto me, saying, o house of Israel, cannot (up to you?) I do with you as this potter? Saith The Lord. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand (God), so are ye in mine hand, o house of Israel.”
I hear God saying that he is long suffering and he will do everything in his power to refine and to make the vessel to perfection, but he will not continue to work on a vessel that is not willing to admit that he or she needs work, will not humble themselves to allow God to work and to form the vessel unto perfection, because it will not be worth his (number 9-final) time to continue to build something that is so full of lumps that even a chisel can not smooth out! Jeremiah 18:1-6.
Yield to the Will of God in your lives and allow God to work, because the ax (chisel) is laid to the root of the tree!
