God Found
A Psalm to praise and sing to God, out loud.
God Found
Oh the skies were grey and cloudy
On that God Found day
I was broken and spent
All my luck had left
Leaving me so desolate
My head hung low
As I sat on a bench alone
Never been much of a God person
Never gave God my two cents
But now I’m really needing Him
Oh God, just give me another chance
It’s all I ask
To get me back on my feet
Oh God, if You are there
And have not forsaken me
Please hear my prayers
Oh God, how I need You now
Let me be God Found
Out of the corner of my eye
I caught a silhouette of grey and white
Through the trees, approaching me,
A dove flew in with a blinding light
Gleaning off its wings
That light caught me, uplifted me,
And took away my misery
Peace overcame me
And the skies turned blue
And heaven dazzled in brilliant hues
Oh God, just give me another chance
It’s all I ask
To get me back on my feet
Oh God, if You are there
And have not forsaken me
Please hear my prayers
Oh God, how I need You now
Let me be God Found
In that moment when the light touched me
I belonged to Him and He to me
My purpose rested in Him
My life was His
He had patience
He heard my prayers
Even though I had gone astray,
Gone my own way,
I was finally found in the fray
It wasn’t luck, oh no it was God Found
Oh, He gave me another chance
It was all I needed
To get me back on my feet
He was there faithfully
He had never forsaken me
He had heard my prayers
And I was finally found
Oh yeah, I was finally God Found.

“And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience — among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ — by grace you have been saved—” Ephesians 2:1-22 EVS.
