God Enables Us to Hope
The Grace of The LORD enables you to Hope, because we are saved by Hope.
Great Grace was upon the Apostles, and their ministries brought hope to the nations through their witnessing of the life of Jesus Christ. We read in Psalms that we need to Hope in God when we are disquieted in our soul.
“Why are you disquieted in me, oh my soul, why are you downcast within me? Hope in God for I shall yet praise Him for He is the help of my countenance, and my God.” Psalm 43:5.
And because of His great Grace, our Hope in God is rewarded by the Presence of The Holy Spirit.
In His Presence, there is comfort.
In His Presence there is peace.
In the Presence of The LORD, we have this calm assurance. In the Presence of The LORD.
Jesus is our hope. He is the hope of our Salvation.
It is The Father’s good pleasure to give to you The Kingdom. Jesus is our assurance of The Kingdom (John 3:16).
Our Blessed Assurance. Our sufficiency is found in Him alone. Amen!
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16.
~ Thomas Downes
Thomas Downes. Walking with The LORD for over 40 years, Thomas runs “The Voice of the Writer” a Prophetic Ministry. His purpose is to present the Word of God and the Love of God with the prophetic heart; the heart that desires to hear the Voice of The LORD, and present His Word for the encouragement of others.
The fundamental Christian doctrine is that we are saved by faith. While hope is also a biblical word, it can mean also different things to different people. There can be a true hope, based on a prior saving faith, vs a false hope or a wishful thinking that we will be let into heaven without having understood the gospel or having repented from sin. To confront the deception of a false hope, which has terrible eternal consequences, I think we should speak only of salvation by faith.
This word capped an interesting week. Just what I needed to read. Thanks
