Go Back and Thank Somebody!
Never TRIVIALIZE or UNDERMINE any help you received from someone when you overcome or get out of that situation.
No matter how much you are tempted to think less of that help or that person when you get to the other side, kill that urge that comes to make you TRIVIALIZE whatever they did for you as something you could have done without.
If they gave you a SHOULDER TO CRY ON — but didn’t give you money, you received comfort, now that you have the money, don’t bad mouth them.
If they OPENED THEIR DOOR for you to have a roof over your head, but had very limited comfort in that room — now that you have a roof over your head that is yours, don’t start describing how small their house was.
If they PAID UP YOUR SCHOOL FEES OR BILLS, but didn’t give you other things you needed, now that you are educated and they are not as blessed as you imagine you are, go back with a thanksgiving gift instead of making a joke out of their low level compared to yours.
If they HELD YOUR HAND in a dark season, but you fell apart because of some silly gossip, now you are dwelling in the brightness of favor, don’t just remember the silly gossip, remember how they stood with you.
If they OPENED A DOOR for you or connected you to much needed help yet you felt they could have done more (maybe given you the fare, the clothes) and now you are in there enjoying what they did for you but you discount them, because you think that they didn’t do enough, do something to thank them.
If they PRAYED WITH YOU when you were down and under and never asked you for anything in return then your breakthrough came and you found a better ministry that is established, remember there prayer was a seed to where you are now so don’t talk about their ” smallness ” to others because you are in the height of breakthrough, you may find them way ahead of you again, this time, you will need them for bigger.
Trivializing what others did for you even if it was not done in the way you expected is trivializing God because each small act was one of the ways God ordained to get you where you are.
No matter how SMALL it was,it was an ACT of GOD to get you to another side, another level, to change your circumstance and to lift you.
Go back and thank somebody!
You were not entitled to anything you received.
It was purely by Grace and Mercy.
Shalom,
