Getting Back on Track!
It’s seems that lately, many have somehow gone off course and that they willingly have violated their conscience.
Have you ever gone through something so traumatic that it wrecked your faith?
Maybe it caused you to question God, who you are, and whether you can do what He has called you to do. Your faith, your strength to stand, has now been damaged.
This is called ‘shipwrecked faith’.
Just how do you fix a shipwrecked faith?
Recognize the lie that caused the shipwreck of your faith!
The truth is what will build it back again. Faith comes by hearing God’s Word and the more you hear it in your heart, the more it will build your faith. It will repair what was done and also give you a more firm and mature faith.
God’s Word is powerful enough to fix your lack of and broken faith. It gets to the very root of where you are broken.
You may not even realize why that experience affected you so deeply, but God will begin to speak to you in love and expose the root cause.
Maybe someone you know went through something so severe that it wrecked their faith and they have turned away from the face of God.
Be like Jesus and go to them with with compassionate love and with truth.
Just as Jesus repaired Peter’s faith and set him free, he will repair them and set them free also if they will allow input, humble themselves, and be willing to take steps to get their life back on course.
“Here is my command to you: Fight well in the Lord’s battles, just as the Lord told us through his prophets that you would. Cling tightly to your faith in Christ and always keep your conscience clear, doing what you know is right. For some people have disobeyed their consciences and have deliberately done what they knew was wrong. It isn’t surprising that some have rejected and suffered shipwreck in regard to their love for God like that.” 1 Timothy 1:18-19.
Prayer:
Thank You Lord for Your love and Your truth. It is so real!
It affirms who we are in You. Repair my faith! Make my faith strong again. I believe in the changing power of Your Word.
I ask that you help me to share Your love and Your truth to someone that needs their faith made new again. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
