Get Ready!
I was reading a book on The Welsh Revival of 1904-6, and The LORD spoke to me about us being prepared for whatever is coming.
Never mind the timing of this next move of God, our preparedness will be the limiting, or freeing, factor.
There is more than one cost involved. Time, money, prayer, continuous meetings — the last one running into the next one — all these things are costly.
Yet ultimately, the most costly could be our preparedness for the hundreds or even thousands of new Christians coming into The Church.
A few years ago, I put this question to a number of pastors and leaders from all around The United Kingdom.
Just one of them responded, and that was a resounding, “Don’t know!”
The question was this: “When we get real Revival and at least 50 new Christians come to your Church every week — how will you cope?”
This was the question that almost killed the Welsh Revival stone dead in 1904 — how to cope with, and begin to disciple, the many new converts who come to The LORD when Revival falls?
So, I asked The LORD for a word to The Church for this time. This is what He said to me: “Do not reject nor despise the days of small beginnings. This Move is not for you — it is for My Bride.
It has already begun. Do you not yet see it?
Have I not said that I AM doing a new thing? Yet what do I see?
I see a people whose hearts are still rejecting the Messengers I send.
I see a people with grandiose ideas, seeking grandiose happenings, in all ‘the right places’.
None of this shall happen!
None of these things are of My Revival Plans!
Some are fine and good, My Blessing is on them — but they are not My Plans to revive My Church.
My Plans for My Church are for small beginnings — a little of My Fire here, a little there, but nothing big and obvious.
Healing will be the trigger. It will call to the lost and prodigal.
Listen to My Prophets — they will know My Plans.
But first — Prepare!
Prepare yourselves — your hearts and minds.
Prepare My People!
Change is inevitable and it is coming. Church, as you have always known it, is about to get what you have labelled ‘messy’ — very messy.
Accept it and rejoice in it — for it is My Will for My Bride.
Prepare My People to not just receive many new and different people, but to accept them with love and joy.
It has been rightly said that “Only Heaven will tell how many people we turned off to The LORD by how we treat the unsaved and newly saved.”
Prepare to Disciple those I send you.
Some will be hard to accept, hard to teach, but My Son died for each and every one of them — treat them as He would treat them.
Do not use political correctness as an excuse to do something, or not to do something — you will be judged on how you teach new Christians.
Allow My Spirit to lead you — listen to Him — listen to My Prophets.
The coming move of My Spirit among you will be marked by how well or otherwise you discern and listen to My prophets.
If My people, My Church, My Bride, does as I ask, prepares as I tell them, then there is an untold harvest waiting to be reaped.
It has begun slowly and almost un-noticed — but it will gather speed and momentum into the greatest move of My Spirit — you cannot even begin to imagine.
This is My promise to My People, The Church!”

Chris Bennett came to salvation in 1962 but didn’t begin ministry until 2007 — a late-comer! Now mandated by The LORD to prophesy and open old wells of Revival in the U.K., but especially in Wales. He has also operated Healing Rooms, and worked with deliverance teams, all with his wife, Linda. Happily now doing whatever The LORD asks of them! Founder, with wife Linda, of their ministry The Upper Room Encounter.
Chris, this is absolutely correct. The Lord told me many years ago not to pray for “revival” as many do because what is coming is brand new. Discipleship is the key. The Lord is raising a new breed of prophet in the mould of John the Baptist and their message is to get ready or to prepare the way of the Lord. I am a pastor in Australia and have moved away from denomination-ism for such a purpose. My ministry motto is preparing the way. Thank you for sharing. Robert Carter
Thanks for your encouragement Robert
God bless you
