George Muller — a Man of Faith, Prayer and Character
“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19
Good morning.
The obedience to The LORD and passion of George Mueller impacted multitudes of lives.
I believe The LORD used George Mueller so immensely that it also changed history!
Multitudes of orphans were rescued off the streets because of his vision.
In England during this time, the conditions of orphans were so horrific!
Many were left on the streets to starve, or put in institutions and work houses.
I believe it pays us sometimes to look up people who had a great impact on humanity and their testimony.
Down through time, many have paid the ultimate sacrifice with their very lives.
Many have been martyred for the Cause of Christ.
Here is an article I wrote just on one such martyr, William Tyndale.
Still some are ‘living martyrs’, such as I believe was George Mueller.
I found a documentary like film on ‘Great American Pure Flix’. It was made in 2006. The name is, “Robber of the Cruel Streets.”
(Some facts here, I tried to put into my own words:)
George Mueller was born in 1805.
His young life was first of a German playboy. He got into some trouble.
He later had a true conversion and served Jesus Christ throughout England in the 1800’s.
He founded many orphanages, thereby getting innocent children off the streets.
The childlike faith he had will really astound you!
Not only him but his wife and associates will truly amaze you, also.
You can see recorded, (from different sources online) they even waited for food at the table many times.
Then a knock on the door would often come and The LORD would send their food, through someone.
He said that not one time did the children go away hungry or not have their needs met!
Later on his first wife died and then after that their daughter.
He finally remarried and lived to a ripe old age.
The LORD used his 2nd wife to get doors open for them to travel around the world speaking for many years.
They had many obstacles to endure over and over in their travels. Their heart was for the orphanages and the children, always.
Then his 2nd wife died and he still carried on till the very end.
He preached the gospel, being faithful until death in 1898.
He was alone at the end but never alone. The LORD tells us He will never leave or forsake us.
“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Hebrews 13:5
“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19
He is one we can honor even today. His testimony lives on!

God bless you all.
“Let your moderation be known unto all men. The LORD is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4: 5-8
