Gazing Into the Future
This morning I received a Word of The LORD from the book of 1 Kings 18, but first I’d like to share something else that I feel is for some of the readers.
Since I become a Christian I’ve been fascinated with the supernatural realm and I love to hear teaching and testimonies about the gifts of The Holy Spirit.
Everyone wants to know what’s going to happen in their future but it is imperative that you know the source and what voices you are listening to.
Since the beginning of time people have tried to access the supernatural realm through horoscopes, fortune tellers, psychics and mediums to see into their future.
The problem with this is that it’s harmful because they are receiving information from evil spirits rather than The Holy Spirit.
The reason why some psychics seem know things that happened in your life and other personal things about you is because Satan knows our past and the diviners are receiving information through the demonic realm.
I am not saying that a psychic, medium or soothsayer can’t be saved and redeemed because they certainly can.
Jesus died and shed His blood for everyone of us. But they need to repent, renounce it and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
If you have been involved in any of the above you need to do the same. You will then be able to receive deliverance and the true spiritual gifts that The LORD has for you. The Holy Spirit wants to speak to every one of us but the only way to the father is through Jesus.
Then there are true prophets and those who have the gift of prophecy. There are false prophets who prophesy out of their imagination or have wrong motives.
But why are some prophets saying that we are in a time of wars and rumors of wars? Why do some think that there are legions of demons from hell loosed upon the earth?
Because their spiritual eyes are out of focus. They are not able to see through the darkness. They don’t see what is ahead because they are observing things that are happening in the natural
.
There is a story in 2 Kings 6. As the king of Syria was planning to attack Israel, Elisha sent a warning to him because as a true prophet and seer, The LORD revealed the plans of the enemy to him.
The king of Syria didn’t understand how Elisha could know all his schemes and strategies. He called his officers together and asked them if they were revealing his secrets to Elisha. One of the officers replied: No but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the very words that you speak in your bedroom.
The king of Syria then sent horses and chariots and his army to capture Elisha.
They went by night and surrounded the city. Elisha’s servant was terrified and he asked Elisha, What will we do now? Elisha responded: “Don’t be afraid, Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”
And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes LORD, so that he may see.”
Then The LORD opened the servants eyes to the spirit realm, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire, and was able to see the spiritual armies of protection all around Elisha.
The true prophets are in tune with The Holy Spirit and see the angel armies that are surrounding them and protecting them. They are not moved by the turbulence in the atmosphere.
They are not moved by peoples opinions and criticism. They see into the future and the plans that The LORD has for our nation.
They know that their intercession will turn things around. They see a small cloud the size of a mans hand on the horizon. They refuse to allow the accuser of the brethren to take them off course.
I pray that The LORD will open your eyes today to see the angelic hosts surrounding you and the great awakening that is coming to our nation in the days ahead.
“So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then The LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha,” 2 Kings 6:16-17.
“Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be confident,” Psalm 27:3.
“‘Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.” Jeremiah 32:17.
