Freedom!
And The LORD says, “Now — My Children should be asking Me to free them from the pains of this world.”
“Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?” John 4:29.
“Children, you were not born with an umbilical cord attached to the world. Cut yourselves loose from things that distort and distract.
Children if you stay attached to the world — where is your room for spiritual growth?
You have My Permission to abort implants of ungodly things!”
“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.” Romans 8:16-23.
“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:23-24.
“It is simple just say, “Yes Lord YOUR will and your way.””
“And he said unto them, “When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.”” Luke 11:2.
Freedom is something we should all yearn for, whether it is temporary or momentary.
Jesus met a Samaritan woman in John 4 — whose spirit cried out to His Spirit. Her plea was so desperate and heart wrenching that it penetrated the atmosphere as a volatile force.
“When therefore The LORD knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John, (Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,) He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee. And he must needs go through Samaria.” John 4:1-4.
Have you ever experienced a plane flying low over your home? The noise seems to vibrate everything inside.
I live near a railroad track and sometimes a passing train shakes the pictures on the wall. Often things slide from side to side on the table.
Can you envision a person in such anguish — that they shake and rattle the spirit of another person in a distant land?
Are you able to discern those in agony in your close proximity?
Jesus changed His mind, His plans, His heart, His commission, and assignment — to help a woman that was at odd with His people.
A Samaritan — a member of a people inhabiting Samaria in biblical times, or of the modern community in the region of Nablus claiming descent from them, adhering to a form of Judaism accepting only its own ancient version of the Pentateuch as Scripture.
In war and a natural mindset — the rule is not to render aid to an enemy and opposing force.
However, The Bible gives illustrations of times when Jesus rendered aid to people who opposed His culture and mission!
“Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon. And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs. And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table. Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.” Matthew 15:21-28.
However, the Samaritan woman was spiritually defeated — so messed up that she could not communicate her condition in words.
People dealing with emotional traumas often feel trapped inside a body that is supposed to offer comfort and a safe haven.
It is common that traumatized people begin to see their bodies as the enemy. The stated rule is to fight enemies and disparate forces.
The fight against one’s own body normally results in abuse, mistreatment, and physical harm.
Strongholds tend to alter the minds/brains ability to function as God intended.
A squeezed brain develops and operates in darkness. Light is drained and prohibited from operating — disallowing a person to live an abundant life.
The LORD is telling us to unplug the darkness by disconnecting from the world — it is not our power source.
I can imagine the Samaritan Woman at the well went away from Jesus receiving her freedom and singing, “Jesus I Will Never Forget What You Done For Me”.
Jesus I’ll never forget, what You’ve done for me
Jesus I’ll never forget, how You’ve set me free
Jesus I’ll never forget, how You’ve brought me out
Jesus I’ll never forget, oh never

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; and having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.” 2 Corinthians 10:3-6.
“When therefore The LORD knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John, (Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,) He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee. And he must needs go through Samaria. Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. 6 Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour. There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink. (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.) Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw. Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither. The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband: For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly. The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet. Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he. And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her? The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men, Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ? Then they went out of the city, and came unto him. In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat. But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of. Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat? Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together. And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth. 38 I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours. And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did. So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days. And many more believed because of his own word; and said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.” John 4:1-42.

Wow. Never thought of things that way, but that definitely does describe quite accurately how it feels! Praying I am free soon…
Thank you for this word.
Emotions are real just like physical pain. Emotions can be misread and interpreted as something they are not. For sure satan does not want us to know the truth about our conditions.
I pray for your freedom in Jesus’ name. be willing to be free.
If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: Isaiah 1:19
Terrific post Mary. Full of practical wisdom & how to walk in discernment, as Jesus walked. Shalom
Whom the Son sets free is free indeed.
