The Fragrance After The Rain
The LORD will not forget His Love for you.
He also remembers when He became your First Love. He also remembers why you made Him your first love.
He remembers the cry of your heart in the times of duress when you were not even aware of His reaching out to you.
He wants to refresh your life like the smell of the forest, the fragrance after the rain.
There are times of refreshing ahead of you, when He opens your understanding about His intent to open the heavens to you, when you had walked on your own, as you thought no one could possibly see where your heart really was.
But the eye has not seen, nor has the ear heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man, the things that God has in store for those who love Him. But God reveals these things to those who love Him by His Spirit, yes even the deep things of God.
There is a river that has been flowing all along that has been finding its way to you every time you take a turn away from it.
The River is called “The Word That Is Sent”
This River finds its way back to you because it is sent to fill a void that nothing else can can possibly fill. It will flood every desert, fill every chasm, wash every stain, and cut like a double edged sword.
It will divide soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and discern the thoughts and intents of your heart. It will reveal to you the intent that is being fulfilled by the One Who Sent It..
Those will be the times when you will see the error of your ways, and begin to cry out to Him again, when you will say,
“Take me back;
Take me back, dear Lord;
To where I first received You.
Take me back;
Take me back, dear Lord;
To where I first believed”…..
Jesus is: “The Word That Was Sent”; He dwelt among us.
There is much more to His Name when we stay near to Him.
He will be become known to you as “the fragrance after the rain.”

Praise Abba!! I have actually been reflecting on this “fragrance after the rain” this week.
I had read months ago about a child that told her grandmother that Jesus smelled like rain. After hurricane “Sally” passed through, I was outside trying to smell the “fragrance after ther rain”… I was pondering this in my heart.
Thank you for posting this. Father bless you! Happy Yom Teruah! (Day of Trumpets/Shouting).
