Forget Not, all of His Benefits
It is Time to be Thankful
for all that He has Done for Us!
King David was a man that failed God many times. He was also a man that had sorrow upon sorrow. In his family situations even his own son turned against him but he also knew how to keep above the situation through worshiping God! He knew this because God had brought him through many trials as he would sing to his beautiful King!
David would tell his soul (mind, will and emotions) to remember who God was and as he did, he would win every battle!
The Lord is telling me today to tell many of you: to tell your cast down soul, to shut up, and then tell your mind to remember who He is today!
In 1 Corinthians 11: 24 it says that Jesus said to His Disciples “This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.”
He said as often as you do this not when or if but as often! In the past as I was going through great trials or even when I was not, I have taken communion every day and as I have I would remind myself of the covenant and what He purchased for me at Calvary instead of thinking on the problem God would begin to bring hope into my situation! You see, I was telling myself to remember who He is and what He had done for me! To remember Him and Like David, I would “forget not all of His benefits” Psalm 103:2.
So when we do this, it causes us to “Magnify the Lord” (Psalm 34:3) and it makes Him bigger than our problem!
When you magnify something you are focused on it and nothing else and when you begin to magnify Him all else fades away. I dare you today in the midst of your dark situations to raise your hands up and tell your soul to take a back seat and magnify the Lord, forget not what He has done for you,and what He has purchased for you!
I am telling you that your problems will dissolve in the presence of an almighty, all powerful God!
“[A Psalm] of David. “Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul; and all that is [deepest] within me, bless His holy name! Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul, and forget not [one of] all His benefits — Who forgives [every one of] all your iniquities, Who heals [each one of] all your diseases, Who redeems your life from the pit and corruption, Who beautifies, dignifies, and crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercy; Who satisfies your mouth [your necessity and desire at your personal age and situation] with good so that your youth, renewed, is like the eagle’s [strong, overcoming, soaring]! The Lord executes righteousness and justice [not for me only, but] for all who are oppressed” Psalm 1031-6 (AMP).
“Why are you cast down, O my inner self? And why should you moan over me and be disquieted within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall yet praise Him, my Help and my God” Psalm 42:5 (AMP).

A Hymn of Faith
17 Though the fig tree may not blossom,
Nor fruit be on the vines;
Though the labor of the olive may fail,
And the fields yield no food;
Though the flock may be cut off from the fold,
And there be no herd in the stalls—
18 Yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will joy in the God of my salvation.
19 The Lord God is my strength;
He will make my feet like deer’s feet,
And He will make me walk on my high hills.
2 Corinthians 5:7 (NKJV)
7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.
