For To Whom Much is Forgiven….
A prideful heart cannot see a need for salvation, because it is blinded by self.
Instead, it can only see the faults of others — but this night your soul will be required of you!
I thank God He has blessed me above measure, but over the years I have learned that nothing is more important than my relationship with God!
I don’t serve him for things! I don’t serve him so he can release a Word or the operations of His Gifts or the vacancy of His Five-Fold ministry gifts, but I serve Him because He died for me and gave me a right to the tree of life!
I serve Him because when I was at the deepest, most miserable point in my life; even when I questioned my own destiny (purpose) of why I was created and even why He brought me here to this earth, I cannot help but thank Him! It was God!
I said it was God who called me out, set me apart and sanctified me as a believer of Christ! And it was not because I was so smart, knew all the right people, had money, status or power — but it was His Love, Grace and His Compassion that saved me from a devil’s hell.
I thank God for ALL He has done for me! I owe it ALL to him!
I cannot take the credit for the things He has done for me in my life! Even when I speak on His behalf, sing, pray, prophesy, teach or preach I know it is nothing me myself has done!
No! I was weak, disgusted and sick of who I was as a person — tired of doing the same thing and always getting the same results; MISERY!
So EXCUSE ME IF I a quickly abandoned ALL bragging rights, because He — Jehovah — took a nothing, the least of all sinners and He saved me! A reject! A person with no destiny and nowhere to turn.
He took a nobody and made me a somebody in His Kingdom! How shall I ever forget him?
I will be forever grateful! I shall forever lift him up! I shall forever tell my testimony, because I cannot and will not keep it to myself, because I want a dying world to know my savior lives!
He makes that which is broken whole again!
As I was praying, The LORD gave me this portion of scripture:
“Behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, (a nobody) when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, (this woman demonstrated her love for Christ: her appreciation by giving something back that was precious to her) and stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. (What she did came for her heart/ her inner most belly)
Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.
And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee.
And he saith, Master, say on. There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.
And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both.
Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?
Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he {forgave most}. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.
And Jesus turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.
Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.
My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.
Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom {little} is forgiven, the same loveth little.
And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven,” (Luke 7:37-48 KJV)
The reason folks can’t understand you and see you as a radical, crazy child of the King is because they have NEVER been forgiven — much like the Pharisee who sat back to criticize Jesus relationship with this woman.
Instead of rejoicing and praying for this woman (sinner) the man said, “if he were a prophet he would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.”
Hew was not realizing that Jesus came to save the lost which he himself was chief!
He could not appreciate Christ, because he didn’t see that he himself had a need for forgiveness.
This is why many people are critical and fault finders is because they lack relationship. Their eyes have been blinded by pride and ignorance in the fact that while they criticize others they themselves are the most miserable sinners of all but this woman recognized her condition and came with a heart of humility giving back all she had!
I am so grateful for my LORD tonight! Sometimes we need a reminder of all that He has done for us!
This alone should make us joyful and excited!
Sometimes we need to sit down, sit back and to meditate about how He brought us out from death doors, bad relationships, drugs, adultery, fornication, idolatry, homelessness and so much more unless we become like the Pharisees thinking we are better than everyone else with our heads and noses lifted up in pride pointing the finger at somebody else!
For, to whom much is forgiven the same love much!
~ Apostle Geraldine Fisher
Apostle Geraldine Fisher has a World-Wide-Social Media Net-Work Ministry. As a Missionary, God moved her into the Office of a Prophet, revealing to her the qualities of a True prophet, humility, humiliation, loving others, interceding in prayer, as she keeps her own life clean to accurately hear from God. Since hearing the audible voice of God calling her to ministry, she’s been called to intercede and pray for others in ministry as God speaks, instructs, directs and gives prophetic words for her to give to others. God promised He would bring her to sit and to learn before great men, all of which He did!
Thank you Apostle. I identify with you cause this was my life before IESOUS found me. I’m reminded of that song ‘ I don’t know why, IESOUS loves me.” God bless you.
He suffered so we could live, not to live for self but to glorify Him (JESUS) with our life by way of Him making a Way for us to receive His Spirit of Power and of Truth.
